Rejuran in Korea: What It Really Does for Your Skin (From a Gangnam Doctor)

Almost every week, someone sits down across from me in my consultation room in Gangnam, takes out their phone, and shows me a saved photo of someone with calm, even, lit-from-within skin. "Dr. Kim," they ask, "is this Rejuran? Can I get this in Korea?" It's one of the most common questions I hear from patients who fly in from Singapore, the US, Australia and beyond — so I wanted to sit down and write the honest version of the answer I give in person.
I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, the director at Delphic Clinic. I've treated thousands of patients with skin boosters, and Rejuran is one I genuinely use a lot — but only when it actually fits the person in front of me. So let's talk about what it really does, what it doesn't, and how to think about it if you're considering treatment while you're in Korea.
What Rejuran actually is — in plain language
Rejuran is a skin booster made from polynucleotides (PN/PDRN) — purified DNA fragments derived from salmon. I know that sounds strange the first time you hear it, but the idea is simple: instead of filling or freezing your skin, these molecules signal your own skin to repair itself. They calm inflammation, support hydration, and over a few weeks encourage your skin to rebuild collagen and a healthier surface.
Here's the part most marketing pages won't tell you: Rejuran is not a filler and it's not Botox. It won't add dramatic volume, and it won't lift sagging skin on its own. What it's genuinely good at is skin quality — texture, fine lines, dullness and that thin, tired look. It works gradually, and it works best as a short course rather than a one-time miracle.
The concern it actually solves — and who it's really for
When patients describe what's bothering them, the words I hear most are "dull," "crepey," "tired," and "my skin doesn't bounce back like it used to." Those are exactly the concerns Rejuran is designed for. I most often recommend it for:
- Thin, crepey skin under the eyes that makeup settles into
- Overall dullness and a dehydrated, rough texture
- Fine lines and early signs of aging (rather than deep folds)
- Post-acne skin that looks uneven or never quite recovered its glow
- Skin stressed by frequent flying, sun, or strong actives
And just as importantly — who it's not for. If your main concern is sagging along the jawline or deep volume loss, Rejuran alone will disappoint you, and I'll tell you that honestly. In those cases I'll talk to you about a lifting treatment or a collagen biostimulator instead. Being honest here saves you money and saves both of us a frustrating result.
Rejuran before and after: what's realistic
"Rejuran before and after" is one of the most searched phrases I see, so let me set honest expectations. You won't walk out transformed the same day — in fact, you may have small bumps at the injection points for a day or two. The real change shows up over the following weeks as your skin rebuilds. Most people need a course of about three sessions, spaced two to four weeks apart, to see the smoother, brighter result they came for.
She came in frustrated that concealer kept creasing under her eyes. We did a course of three Rejuran sessions. By the second session the fine crepey lines had softened, and by the end her skin looked noticeably smoother and more hydrated — the kind of result that looks like "good skin," not like she'd had something done. (Individual results vary; this is one patient's experience, shared with permission.)
How we do Rejuran at Delphic — and why it matters
Two clinics can both offer "Rejuran" and give you completely different experiences. The difference is in the details: who injects it, how evenly, with what technique, and whether the product is genuine. At Delphic, I perform the consultation and the injections myself — I don't hand you off. Even injection depth and spacing are what make the result smooth instead of lumpy.
Genuine product, comfortable experience
We use authentic, properly stored product, and we take comfort seriously — numbing cream first, then a careful, unhurried technique. A typical visit takes about 30–40 minutes including numbing, and most patients head straight back to their day or their sightseeing afterward.
How much does Rejuran cost in Korea?
Cost is the second question everyone asks, and I understand why — you've probably seen wildly different prices online. Rejuran in Korea is generally far more affordable than the same treatment overseas, which is a big part of why patients combine it with their trip. The exact price depends on the product and the number of sessions, so I'd rather quote you honestly in your consultation than throw out a number that doesn't fit your skin.
Coming from overseas? Here's how we make it easy
A large share of my patients are international, and we've built the clinic around that. We have staff on site who speak English and Chinese, so your consultation and your aftercare instructions are clear — you're never just nodding along to something you didn't fully understand. We can plan treatments to fit a short trip, and because we charge locals and visitors the same, you can budget with confidence before you even land.
If you're researching from abroad, you don't have to figure it all out alone. You can message us before your trip, tell us your concern and your travel dates, and we'll help you map out a realistic plan.
Start with a free 1:1 consultation
Whatever you decide, please start with a proper consultation rather than booking a treatment off a photo. At Delphic the 1:1 consultation is free, there's no pressure, and if I genuinely think Rejuran isn't right for you, I'll tell you and suggest what is. That's the whole point — the right treatment, not just a treatment.

If you've been saving photos of that calm, healthy-looking skin and wondering whether it's possible for you, send us a message with your concern — I'm always happy to take a look and give you an honest opinion. — Dr. Hyunji Kim, Delphic Clinic, Gangnam, Seoul.
