Thread Lift Korea Cost: What You'll Really Pay — A Gangnam Doctor's Honest Price Guide

Thread lift korea cost is one of the first things international patients ask me about — usually before they've even sat down. It's a fair question, because online you'll see everything from suspiciously cheap deals to eye-watering luxury pricing, and it's hard to know what's real.
I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam. In this post I'm going to skip the generic overview and focus on money: what a thread lift actually costs here, what makes the number go up or down, when a package beats single lines, and why you shouldn't pay more just because you flew in from abroad.
What it actually is — in plain language
A PDO thread lift uses fine, absorbable threads (the same material as surgical suture) inserted under the skin. Barbed 'lifting' threads like Mint gently reposition sagging tissue, while smooth 'mono' threads stimulate collagen for firmer, tighter skin. Over the following months your body dissolves the thread but keeps the new collagen scaffold.

Here's the honest part: a thread lift is not a facelift. It won't remove excess skin or fix heavy, advanced jowls. If your sagging is severe, threads will underwhelm you — and I'd rather tell you that up front than take your money.
Who it's really for
A thread lift gives the best value-for-money when the concern is early-to-moderate. In my chair, the people who are happiest afterward usually fit this profile:
- Early nasolabial folds or marionette lines that filler alone can't fully soften
- Mild jawline or cheek sagging in your 30s–50s
- People who want a subtle lift with no surgery and minimal downtime
- Those wanting nose bridge or tip refinement without a rhinoplasty (Hiko/Barbico threads)
- Patients wanting overall skin firmness via mono/collagen threads
Who I steer elsewhere: anyone with heavy, advanced sagging (that's a surgical conversation, and we're honest that we don't do facelifts here), people expecting a dramatic bone-structure change, or anyone hoping one cheap session will do the work of surgery. Managing that expectation before you pay is part of my job.
How it compares — an honest comparison
Cost only makes sense next to the alternatives. Here's how a thread lift stacks up against the treatments people usually compare it with.
Threads sit in a useful middle ground: more lift than filler or energy devices, far less commitment and cost than surgery. Many patients combine threads with a little filler or Rejuran, which is exactly why our packages are structured that way.
Before and after: what's realistic
Results are gradual, not instant-magazine. You'll notice a modest lift immediately from the barbed threads, some swelling for a few days, and then the real collagen-driven improvement builds over 4–8 weeks. It's a refinement — a rested, slightly lifted version of your own face, not a different face.

What to expect — step by step
- 1
1. Free consultation
I assess your sagging in person and tell you honestly whether threads, filler, energy devices, or a combination fits — and give you the exact price before anything begins.
- 2
2. Numbing & prep
We cleanse, mark entry points, and apply topical plus local anesthetic so the procedure is comfortable.
- 3
3. The session
Threads are placed through tiny entry points using a fine cannula. A lifting package typically takes 30–45 minutes.
- 4
4. Back to your day
You leave the same day. Expect mild tightness and possible small bruising; avoid heavy exercise and facials for about a week.
- 5
5. Results build over weeks
The immediate lift settles, swelling fades, and collagen firming continues for up to two months.

How we do it at Delphic — and why it matters
Every thread lift here is performed by a doctor — not delegated — using genuine, traceable threads. That matters for both safety and value: cheap 'deals' often mean fewer threads than promised, unclear thread origin, or a non-doctor placing them. I'd rather quote you an honest number and place the right threads well.

How much does it cost in Korea?
Here's the part you came for. Prices depend on three things: how many threads you need, which thread type, and whether you add filler or Rejuran. Packages generally give better value than single lines because you get a full result in one visit. These are our genuine prices:
| Mint Thread 4 lines + Juvederm 1cc (Allergan) (Nasolabial or Marionette Line, choose 1) | ₩700,000$510 |
| Mint Thread 8 lines + Juvederm 1cc (Allergan) (Nasolabial or Marionette Line, choose 1) | ₩1,100,000$800 |
| Hiko Nose Bridge Thread 2 lines | ₩200,000$140 |
| Barbico Nose Tip Thread 2 lines | ₩200,000$140 |
| Jamber Thread 1 line | ₩120,000$90 |
| Mint Thread 1 line | ₩100,000$70 |
| Mono Thread 50 lines | ₩800,000$580 |

Frequently asked questions
Does a thread lift hurt?
We numb the area first with topical and local anesthetic, so most patients feel pressure and a little tugging rather than sharp pain. There can be mild soreness for a day or two afterward, easily managed with paracetamol. It's far more comfortable than most people expect from the name.
How long does a thread lift last?
PDO threads themselves dissolve over about 6–8 months, but the collagen they stimulate keeps working, so most patients see results lasting roughly 12–18 months depending on skin, age, and how many lines were placed. Nose threads (Hiko/Barbico) tend to hold their shape for a similar window.
How does a thread lift compare to Ultherapy or a facelift?
A thread lift physically repositions tissue a little and stimulates collagen along the thread path — good for early sagging. Ultherapy tightens with heat but doesn't lift/reposition. A surgical facelift gives the biggest, longest result but with real surgery and downtime. Threads sit in between: more than energy devices, less than surgery.
Is there downtime with a thread lift?
There's no real 'stay home' downtime, but expect mild swelling, possible small bruising at entry points, and a slightly tight feeling for a few days. Most international patients are out and about the same day and comfortable in public within 2–3 days.
How many threads or sessions do I need?
It depends on the area and degree of sagging. Nasolabial or jawline lifting typically uses 4–8 Mint threads in total; nose reshaping uses 2 threads; collagen 'mono' packages use many fine threads. Package thread counts are totals, not per side. We decide the exact number in person — I never quote a fixed number online.
How much does a thread lift cost in Korea?
See the price table in this article for genuine numbers — single lines from ₩100,000, nose threads from ₩200,000, and Mint thread + Juvederm packages from ₩700,000. Visitors pay the exact same price as local Korean patients, with no foreigner mark-up.
