The best facial in Seoul for foreigners is the one that starts with a doctor looking at your skin, explains each step in a language you follow, and sends you home with an aftercare plan. The worry I hear most from visitors is what happens when their skin reacts on day three, back home, with nobody who knows what was done. At Delphic Clinic the doctors perform the treatments themselves, and consultations go through on-site English and Chinese interpreters, so the person who examined you is also the person who answers that question.
I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director and lead physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam. My background is Korea University Medical Center, and I'm a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine, the Korean Society for Laser Dermatology & Hair, the Korean Society for Obesity & Aesthetic Treatment and the Korean Filler Society. Visitors ask me some version of this question in the consulting room often, usually with three browser tabs of reviews open.
Same-day treatment is possible, and several visits are built as one-day packages, so a short trip can still hold a real plan.
If you have a daylight photo of your skin and your travel dates, send both on WhatsApp with the one question that worries you most. If you're arranging the trip for a parent, you can send the photo on their behalf.

Who is actually treating your face?
A named doctor with credentials you can look up should be the one treating you, or at least the one deciding what is done. In Korea, "facial" can mean a relaxing spa session or a medical skin treatment, and the booking page rarely says which. Ask who holds the device or the needle, and ask for their name.
At Delphic Clinic, doctors perform the treatments directly. That is the level of detail to ask any clinic for: an institution and a society, not an adjective.

What should a clinic look at before it picks a facial?
Your skin type, your current products and your reaction history should be asked about before any menu item is chosen. A menu picked from a photo on your phone is a package, and a package fits an average face that does not exist.
Risks and side effects to know
In general dermatology reasoning, three things change the plan most: how reactive the skin is, whether you use active ingredients such as retinoids or acids, and whether you have had lasers or peels recently. Congested pores and dull skin point toward a cleansing peel. Redness and tightness point toward calming steps first. If a clinic offers the same sequence to everyone who walks in, that is information.
Do you need to fly to Seoul for a facial at all?
No, not for routine upkeep. If you want a hydrating session and your skin is calm, a good clinic near home can do that job, and a flight adds little. A Seoul visit makes sense when you want a doctor-led plan across several concerns, such as pores, texture, redness or firmness, and can do it in one trip.
There is also a group who should wait: skin with an active infection, an open wound, or a flare of a skin condition under treatment elsewhere. Mention these at the start. The doctor may postpone the treatment, and that is the right call.
Clinic facial or spa facial: what are you really booking?
A clinic facial is run under a doctor's supervision and can include medical devices; a spa facial is a relaxation service with cosmetic products. Both have a place, but they answer different questions, and mixing them up is how people end up disappointed.
For the full comparison, I wrote it out in clinic facial vs spa facial in Seoul. If reviews are what you are leaning on, how to read Korean facial reviews covers what a review can and cannot tell you.
Which facial steps does a clinic menu offer?
A clinic skin-care menu is a set of building blocks you combine after the exam. Ours includes Aqua Peel, LDM, LED O2Derm therapy, Black Peel, extraction, soothing and hydration treatments, and Aladdin Peel.
Two details help you compare. LED O2Derm therapy delivers oxygen, anions and LED light, and can be performed on sensitive skin after laser or peeling treatments. Aladdin Peel uses spicules from natural freshwater sponges to loosen dead skin cells, and its intensity can be adjusted for sensitive skin. For the step-by-step sequence of a session, see what happens in a clinic facial session.
If your visit includes an injectable such as filler, the U.S. FDA's page on dermal fillers explains that they are regulated as medical devices, which is a good reason to ask which product is used. For needling treatments aimed at scars, the American Academy of Dermatology has a patient page on microneedling and scars.
What can go wrong, and what do you do at home?
Temporary redness, tightness, dryness, a few small breakouts and extra sun sensitivity are the usual effects after a facial that includes a peel or device. Stronger treatments carry more: after an RF treatment such as Oligio, slight swelling, bruising or redness can appear and usually settles within a few days. Rarely, skin reacts badly or pigment changes, and that is when a photo sent early matters.

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.
The aftercare basics are plain: moisturizer after the treatment and sunscreen whenever you go out. Ask the clinic before you leave which redness is expected and which is a reason to message. Ask also how you reach them from your home country.

Korean Facial Review: How to Read Them Before You Book One in Seoul go further into what usually comes next.
The seven questions to send before you book
You can send these to any clinic in Seoul, including ours. A clinic that answers them specifically is easier to trust than one that answers with a slogan.
Copy that table into your message and add your photo and dates. Send it on WhatsApp and ask the doctor for the one thing you most want to know, whether your skin suits a single-visit plan or needs the calming steps first. You will have a straight answer before you book a flight.
Frequently asked questions
Is a Korean facial different from a regular facial?
Often yes. In Korea the word covers both spa sessions and clinic treatments that use devices and medical-grade steps. Ask whether a doctor supervises the session, because that is the main difference.
How long before my flight home should I have it?
Leave a buffer day if the plan includes a peel or a device, so you can see how your skin reacts before a long flight. The doctor can tell you what fits your trip once they know your dates.
Should I bring my skincare products?
Bring photos or a list of everything you use, especially retinoids and exfoliating acids. Those change which steps are suitable on the day.
What does a facial visit depend on, in terms of cost?
It depends on the area treated, the number of sessions, the device or material used and whether any injectable is part of the plan. Send a photo on WhatsApp and the team tells you what applies to your case.
Can I get treated on the same day I arrive?
Same-day treatment is possible at Delphic Clinic. The clinic is open until 21:00 on weekdays and until 17:00 on Saturdays, and closed on Sundays.
