InMode Korea Before and After: How I Judge a Photo Pair, and What Your Own Face Can Realistically Show

I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director and lead physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, one minute from Sinnonhyeon Station. I trained at Korea University Medical Center and I am a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine and the Korean Filler Society, and my daily work is lifting, laser and anti-ageing care. When people search InMode Korea before and after, they often end up in my consultation room holding a screenshot.
Several times a week a patient shows me an InMode Korea before and after picture and asks, "Can I look like this?" My honest answer is that the photo tells me less than the face in front of me. This page shows you how I read a photo pair, what InMode can and cannot show on camera, and how to take your own baseline so your result is judged fairly.
Six things to check in any InMode photo pair
Before you compare jawlines, compare the photos themselves. These are the checks I run in my head whenever a patient shows me a result from a clinic feed or a forum. If two or more fail, I treat the pair as decoration, not evidence.
The last row matters more than people expect. InMode is a platform with different handpieces, so a pair that only says "InMode" does not tell you what was done. My InMode first-timer guide explains the platform in plain language if you want the background first.
FX and Forma change different things on camera
FX works on contour, where unwanted fat sits under the chin or along the jaw. When it suits the face, the change a camera picks up is a cleaner line from the ear to the chin, clearest in a side or three-quarter view.
Forma is a heating treatment for firmness. Its change is quieter: skin that sits a little tighter and looks smoother in texture. A straight-on photo under flat light often hides it, which is why Forma pairs can look unimpressive even when the patient feels the difference in the mirror.
So when you look at an InMode Korea before and after, first ask which of the two you are looking at. Then ask whether your own concern is shape or firmness, because that decides which photos are even relevant to you.
The swelling trap: why a day-three after shot can flatter
Recovery after InMode is usually two to three days, and mild swelling is part of it. Swelling can make skin look fuller and smoother for a short time, or it can blur a jawline that is actually improving. Either way, a photo taken in that window is not the result.
The collagen response that firms the skin builds over weeks, not days. That is why I do not judge an InMode result before the skin has settled, and why I ask patients not to judge it on the flight home.
I judge a result by your face on a quiet day weeks later, not by a flattering photo from the first week.— Dr. Hyunji Kim, Delphic Clinic
Faces where the after photo will look much like the before
This is the part clinic feeds leave out. There are faces where InMode is a reasonable treatment but the camera will barely register it, and faces where I would not use it at all.
- Very lean lower faces with little fat under the chin: FX has little to work on, and removing more can make the face look tired.
- Heavy jowls or loose neck skin: the laxity is beyond what an energy device can show, and surgery is the honest comparison.
- Hollow cheeks or temples: the problem is lost volume, and firming alone will not fill it.
- Anyone hoping one session will match a photo they saw online: the photo may show a different face, a different plan and a series.
If your main complaint is texture or pores rather than contour, a microneedling approach may suit you better, which I compare in my Morpheus8 and InMode guide for Korea.
Take your own baseline: a five-shot routine for your InMode day
The most useful before and after you will ever see is your own. Take these photos on the morning of your treatment, then repeat them at home a few weeks later in the same spot.
- 1
Choose one spot
Stand facing a window in daylight, with no overhead light behind you. Mark where you stand so you can return to it.
- 2
Front view
Phone at eye level, arm's length, face relaxed, mouth closed. Pull your hair back from the jaw.
- 3
Both three-quarter views
Turn your head until the far eye nearly disappears. This is where jawline change shows first.
- 4
Both side views
Look straight ahead at a point on the wall, chin level. Do not lift your chin for the after shot.
- 5
Repeat later, same way
Same spot, time of day and distance, with no makeup. Compare side by side, not from memory.

InMode prices in Seoul, and what one session can show
These are our actual menu prices. International patients pay the same as Korean patients, and the first-visit trial price is there so you can see how your skin responds before committing to more.
| InMode 1 area (Fx or Forma) | ₩90,000$70 |
| InMode Full Face (Fx or Forma) | ₩150,000$110 |
| Inmode for one area (FX or Forma) (First-visit trial) | ₩49,000$40 |
| Inmode for the entire face (Fx or Forma) (First-visit trial) | ₩99,000$70 |
Whether one area or the full face makes sense depends on what your photos are meant to show. I break the choice down in my guide to InMode cost in Korea.

Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.

Frequently asked questions
Are InMode Korea before and after photos reliable?
They are useful only when the angle, lighting, expression and timing match between the two shots. A pair taken a few days after treatment can still show swelling, so check when the after photo was taken before you trust the change.
What is the difference between InMode FX and Forma results?
FX is aimed at contour, so its change shows along the jawline and under the chin. Forma is a heating treatment for skin firmness, so its change is subtler and shows more in texture and how the skin sits than in shape.
When should an InMode after photo be taken?
Not in the first few days, when swelling can flatter or blur the result. I judge a result after the skin has settled and the collagen response has had time to build, which takes weeks rather than days.
Who will see little difference in InMode before and after photos?
People with very little fat under the chin, heavy skin laxity that needs surgery, or a concern that is really volume loss. In those faces I usually suggest a different plan rather than InMode.
Can I get InMode on the same day as my consultation in Seoul?
Yes. At Delphic, same-day treatment is possible after the consultation if the doctor confirms InMode suits your face, which helps on a short trip.
