Potenza + Juvelook in Seoul: Caro's Texture-and-Glow Review, With Her Doctor's Notes on Timing

Caro gave the advice I give in almost every consultation, so let me start there: if you're only in Korea for a few days, think about where in your trip this treatment goes. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I consult and treat international patients myself. Texture and glow together is one of the most common requests I get from visitors, and Potenza with Juvelook is a pairing I use often. Here is why, what the redness means, what it costs, and who should not choose it.

In her own words
The Juvelook injections did sting a little, but they used numbing cream beforehand, so it was actually very manageable! The only thing to keep in mind: I was pretty red right after 😂 So if you're only spending a few days in Korea, I'd recommend scheduling it towards the end of your trip. You can still go about your day normally! And a few days later… my skin looked smoother and more glowy ✨
Why texture and glow need two tools
Rough texture and visible pores live in the dermis, where collagen support has thinned. Glow is about hydration and the quality of the surface. Potenza works on the first; Juvelook helps with both, from the inside.
- 1
Potenza: needles plus radiofrequency
Fine needles enter the skin and release RF energy in the dermis to stimulate collagen. Depth can be set from 0.5mm to 4.0mm, and there are 14 tips to match different skin.
- 2
Juvelook: a collagen booster
PDLLA combined with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid. It supports your own collagen renewal and adds hydration, and its components break down and clear over time.
- 3
Why together
Potenza's micro-channels and Juvelook's booster are often paired because they act on the same layer in complementary ways.
My first-timer guide to Potenza RF microneedling goes into the device in more depth.
The skin analysis before the needles
Caro started with an AI skin analysis, then the consultation with free English interpretation. The scan shows texture, pores and pigment more objectively than a mirror, and it lets me show the patient why I'm recommending a particular depth or tip.
The sting and the redness, honestly
Caro described the Juvelook injections as stinging a little, made manageable by numbing cream applied beforehand. That matches what I hear from most patients. I'd rather tell you it stings a little than promise you won't feel anything.
She was also “pretty red right after”. That is expected: Potenza creates micro-channels and heat, and injections add their own pinkness. Most people can still go about their day, as she did, but it's not the face you want for a big dinner that evening.
Where to put it in your trip
Caro's suggestion — schedule it towards the end of a short trip — makes sense when your priority is photos during the trip. I add one point: if you can, leave a day or two in Seoul afterwards so we can see you if anything feels unusual.

What Potenza + Juvelook costs
Our prices are published and identical for every patient. The common first-visit version of Caro's combination is below; her exact volume wasn't posted.
- Session Potenza Laser (including N25 tip) (First-visit trial)₩109,000≈ $80
- Juvelook/Ultracoll Skin Booster 2cc (First-visit trial)₩250,000≈ $180
VAT excluded · identical for Korean and international patients · regular price: Potenza laser (N25 tip) full face ₩180,000. This is the typical first-visit version; tips and volume are confirmed at the free consultation.
Larger volumes or a different tip change the total. I've broken down what you really pay for Potenza, and there's a separate Juvelook guide with its timeline and price.
Caro noticed smoother, glowier skin a few days later. Collagen work continues for weeks after that, so I usually ask for a follow-up photo once the early glow has settled.
Is this for you?
Who this combination genuinely suits
Signs it may be time
- Makeup sits unevenly on your cheeks
- Pores look larger than they did a few years ago
- Your skin has lost its bounce and glow
- Skincare alone hasn't changed your texture
A good fit if
- Your skin texture looks uneven and pores are more visible than you'd like
- Your skin looks tired or flat and you'd like more glow from within
- You can accept a red face for the rest of the day
- You can book it late in your trip, or have a quiet day after
Not the right first step if: you have active acne or an infection in the area, a tendency to keloid scarring, you're pregnant, or you need to look camera-ready the same evening. I'll suggest a gentler starting point in those cases.

“Send me a close-up photo in daylight before your trip. I'll tell you whether Potenza with Juvelook suits you, or whether one of them alone would do.”
Questions patients ask me about this
How much do Potenza and Juvelook cost in Korea?
At Delphic Clinic, Potenza laser with an N25 tip is ₩109,000 and Juvelook skin booster 2cc is ₩250,000 at first-visit prices, ₩359,000 together, VAT excluded. Korean and international patients pay the same.
Does Juvelook hurt?
Most patients feel a sting during the injections. Numbing cream is applied beforehand, which makes it manageable for most people.
How long does redness last after Potenza and Juvelook?
Redness right after is expected. Juvelook recovery is typically 1–3 days, and most people can go about their day normally while it settles.
Should I get Potenza at the start or end of my Korea trip?
If photos during the trip matter, book it towards the end, as many visitors do. Ideally leave a day or two in Seoul afterwards so the clinic can check on you.
When will I see results from Potenza + Juvelook?
Some people notice smoother, glowier skin within days. Collagen renewal continues over the following weeks, so the doctor reviews progress after the early glow settles.
