Needle-Free Skin Booster in Korea: What “No Needle” Really Changes, From Vivie's Juvelook and Mirajet Week
Vivie (@vivieee27) had a Juvelook Booster delivered with Mirajet, without a traditional needle. Her doctor explains what needle-free delivery actually changes, what stays the same, and who she'd still treat with a needle.

“Can I get a skin booster without needles?” is one of the first things patients who dislike injections ask me, often before they've asked what the booster does. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic by Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I consult and treat international patients myself. Vivie (@vivieee27) had a Juvelook Booster delivered with Mirajet, which she describes as getting the product into the skin without a traditional needle injection. This page answers what a needle-free skin booster in Korea really changes compared with a needle, what it doesn't, who I'd still treat the conventional way, and what it costs.

In her own words
Juvelook is a collagen-stimulating treatment, and Mirajet delivers the product into the skin without using a traditional needle injection.
What “needle-free” means in Vivie's video
A needle-free skin booster in Korea usually means the product is the same, and only the way it enters the skin changes. In Vivie's case the product was Juvelook and the delivery was Mirajet, which, as she put it, works without a traditional needle injection.
Her earlier case covered what Juvelook asks your skin to do and how her first week went. Here I want to answer the question people ask before booking: is the needle-free version the right one for me?
Needle-free versus needle: what changes and what doesn't
- Changes: there's no traditional needle going in, which matters a great deal to people who tense up at injections.
- Changes: the product is spread across the skin differently, so I choose by area and goal.
- Doesn't change: the product. Juvelook is still PDLLA with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, working by stimulating your own collagen.
- Doesn't change: the skin still reacts. Vivie noticed redness and sensitivity right after, and that's expected.
So “needle-free” isn't the same as “nothing to feel” or “nothing to see.” It's a different route for the same treatment, and I plan the trip around it the same way.
Who I'd still treat with a needle
Needle-free delivery is a good fit for many faces, but not every goal. When I need to place product precisely in one small spot, or build a little volume in a defined area, a needle gives me more control.
- A defined hollow or deeper scar that needs product in one exact place.
- Under the eyes, where only Ultracol is used on our menu and placement is delicate.
- When you want Juvelook Volume rather than a skin-quality booster.
Why her skin was scanned before the consultation
Vivie mentions a 3D Meta-View skin diagnosis before her consultation. I use that kind of scan to see texture, pores and tone more objectively, which helps me decide the booster, the dose and the delivery. I've explained what I actually check in a skin analysis consultation.
How much is a needle-free Juvelook skin booster?
These are example menu prices for Juvelook. They aren't a statement of what Vivie paid. Which delivery suits you, and the final price, are confirmed together at the consultation.
- Juvelook/Ultracoll Skin Booster 2cc (First-visit trial)₩250,000≈ $180
- Juvelook/Ultracol Skin Booster 4cc (Full Face/Under-eye area only Ultracol)₩500,000≈ $360
Example menu prices for Juvelook — not a statement of what Vivie paid. VAT excluded · the same price for Korean and international patients · the volume and delivery method are confirmed at the free consultation.
Booking it on a trip: the first week, day by day
- 1
Treatment day
Cleansing is fine the same day; wait until the next day for makeup. Expect some redness and sensitivity.
- 2
Days 1–3
Most people are back to normal plans within this window. Small bumps, swelling or a bruise can appear.
- 3
The first week
Avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, hot baths and strenuous exercise. Don't rub the area, skip peels and scrubs, and use sunscreen.
- 4
After you fly home
Collagen boosters develop over weeks, so judge later, not on day seven.
Vivie's own note — that she was excited to see how her skin develops over time — is the right attitude. I've written about why so many booster verdicts are written too early.
When a skin booster isn't the right call yet
- You have an important event within the next few days.
- Your skin is actively inflamed, sunburned or broken out in the area.
- You're pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You expect a lift; a booster improves skin quality, not sagging.
Is this for you?
Who this combination genuinely suits
Signs it may be time
- You've avoided boosters because of injections
- Your skin looks tired or uneven in texture
- You want a skin assessment before choosing anything
- You're planning a Seoul trip with a few free days afterwards
A good fit if
- You want a collagen booster but dislike needles
- Your concern is overall texture, pores or dullness
- You can allow 1–3 days of possible redness
- You're happy to wait weeks to judge the result
Not the right first step if: you need product placed precisely in one hollow or scar, you want a lifting effect, you have an event within a few days, your skin is inflamed or sunburned, or you're pregnant or breastfeeding.

“Needle-free or not, it's the same decision underneath: which product, how much, and where. Bring your photos and your worries about needles, and we'll choose together.”
Questions patients ask me about this
Is a needle-free skin booster as effective as an injection?
The product is the same; only the delivery changes. Which route suits you depends on the area and goal, and the doctor decides that with you at the consultation.
Does a needle-free skin booster still cause redness?
Yes. Redness and sensitivity right after are expected, and small bumps, swelling or a bruise can appear. These are temporary and usually ease within a week.
Who should still choose a needle injection?
People who need product placed precisely in a defined hollow or scar, or who want a volume effect. Under the eyes, our menu uses Ultracol only.
How long before an event should I get a skin booster?
Allow at least a few days, since most people need 1–3 days and some redness can linger. Because the collagen effect builds over weeks, earlier is better.
How much is a Juvelook skin booster at Delphic Clinic?
On the example menu, Juvelook/Ultracol 2cc is ₩250,000 and 4cc for the full face is ₩500,000, VAT excluded. International patients pay the same as Korean patients.
