Same-Day Skin Treatment in Seoul: Jin's TikTok, and What I Will (and Won't) Do the Day You Walk In
Jin (@jinkangkr) took “a random person” to Delphic Clinic over lunch. His post doesn't say what was done, so his doctor explains what can be consulted on and treated the same day in Seoul, and what she'd rather schedule for later.

“If I come in today, can I be treated today?” is one of the most common messages we get from visitors, often sent from a café a few stations away. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam; I trained at Korea University Medical Center and I consult and treat international patients myself. Jin (@jinkangkr) takes a stranger to the clinic over lunch, and his TikTok doesn't say what was done, so I won't pretend to know. I already wrote about what fits into a lunch hour on his Instagram reel. This page answers a different question: what I'm willing to consult on and treat on the same day, and what I'd rather schedule for later in your trip.

In her own words
Taking a random person for lunch
Can you get a same-day skin treatment in Seoul?
Yes. A same-day skin treatment in Seoul is normal at many clinics, including ours: you have a free 1:1 consultation, and if the treatment suits you, we can do it that day. What decides it isn't the clinic's schedule so much as your skin and your plans for the next few days.
Jin's TikTok is a lunch invitation, not a treatment review. On his Instagram reel I covered what fits into a lunch hour; here I'm talking about the whole day, and the rest of your trip.
What happens between walking in and being treated?
- 1
Skin check
We look at your skin, and where useful use skin analysis, so the plan is based on more than a mirror.
- 2
Consultation with me
I ask about your concern, medications, recent sun and your flight date. English and Chinese interpreters are on site.
- 3
A plan, and a no if needed
If something suits you today, we go ahead. If it doesn't, I'll say so and suggest what does.
- 4
Treatment
Cleansing, treatment and soothing. For short treatments you're usually out within the visit you planned.
If you've never been to a Korean clinic, my first-visit chooser for Korean skin treatment helps you arrive with a clear question.
Which treatments am I comfortable doing the same day?
- Aqua peel: 30–40 minutes, no downtime, for congested or dull skin
- LDM: high-density ultrasound for hydration, redness or acne-prone skin, same-day return
- PicoSure toning: for pigment and tone, same-day return, with mild redness that settles within a few days
- Soothing or hydration care: 30–40 minutes, low irritation, useful after a long flight
Same day, but not the day before your flight
Some treatments can be done the same day you consult, but need a few days of calm skin after. Skin boosters such as the aqua glow injection can leave small bumps, swelling or bruising, with recovery of about 3–7 days.
Titanium lifting has 1–2 days of recovery, with redness or warmth that can last a few days. These are fine on day one of a week-long trip. On your last afternoon, I'd usually suggest something gentler.
When I'll ask you to come back another day
- You're sunburnt or freshly tanned from a beach stop on the way to Seoul.
- Your skin is irritated from a recent peel, retinol or a new product.
- Your concern needs a course, such as melasma or hair removal, and today should be a plan rather than a rush.
- You're pregnant or unwell, or can't tell me what medications you take.
What same-day treatments cost
These are example menu prices, not what anyone in Jin's video paid. International patients pay exactly what Korean patients pay, with no foreigner surcharge.
- 1st Aqua Peel 1 session (Extraction not included/Solution 1-2) (First-visit trial)₩39,000≈ $30
- LDM 6min (Choose 1 mode: Hydration/Acne/Redness) (First-visit trial)₩39,000≈ $30
- Pico Sure Toning + 1 Session of Mask (First-visit trial)₩40,000≈ $30
Example first-visit menu prices — not what anyone in Jin's video paid. VAT excluded · identical for Korean and international patients. Regular prices: aqua peel with LED ₩80,000, PicoSure toning + mask ₩50,000. Your plan is confirmed at the free consultation.
If you're comparing clinics on a short trip, my notes on how a visitor can tell a careful Seoul clinic from a busy one may help you choose where to walk in.
How to arrive ready for same-day treatment
- 1
Message ahead
Send us your concern, a photo and your flight date on WhatsApp. We'll tell you what's realistic today.
- 2
Bring the details
A list of medications and skincare actives you use. It saves time in the consultation.
- 3
Find us
We're near Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam. Coming bare-faced helps, but we can cleanse your skin if not.
Is this for you?
Who this combination genuinely suits
Signs it may be time
- You've got a free afternoon in Gangnam
- You want a consultation and treatment in one visit
- You're unsure what's realistic before your flight
- Your skin feels tired and dry after travelling
A good fit if
- You're in Seoul for a few days and want treatment without a separate consultation trip
- Your concern is dullness, congestion, hydration or light pigment
- You can tell us your flight date so we can time recovery
- You'd like a doctor to say honestly what suits today
Not the right first step if: you're sunburnt, your skin is irritated, you're flying out within hours and want an injection, or your concern needs a planned course; I'd suggest a gentler option or another day.

“Message us before you walk in with your concern and your flight date. I'd rather tell you in advance what can happen today than disappoint you at the clinic.”
Questions patients ask me about this
Can I get a skin treatment in Seoul on the same day as the consultation?
Yes, many treatments can be done the same day after a free 1:1 consultation, if they suit your skin. The doctor decides on the day based on your skin and travel plans.
Do I need an appointment for a Seoul skin clinic?
Messaging ahead is recommended so the clinic can prepare and tell you what's realistic. Same-day visits are often possible, depending on the schedule.
What skin treatment has no downtime in Seoul?
Aqua peel is listed with no downtime, and LDM and PicoSure toning allow same-day return to daily life. PicoSure can cause mild redness that settles within a few days.
Can I get a skin booster the day before my flight?
It's usually better not to. Skin boosters such as aqua glow injections can leave bumps or bruising, with recovery of about 3–7 days, so earlier in the trip is safer.
How much is a same-day skin treatment in Seoul?
At Delphic Clinic, first-visit examples are aqua peel ₩39,000, LDM 6 minutes ₩39,000 and PicoSure toning with a mask ₩40,000, VAT excluded. International patients pay the same as Korean patients.
