A Lunch-Break Skin Visit in Gangnam: Jin's Reel, and What Really Fits Into an Hour
Jin (@crayon_papi) took “a random person for lunch” and tags Delphic Clinic. It doesn't name a treatment, so here is what honestly fits into a lunch hour, what it costs, and what should never be squeezed in.

Office workers in Gangnam have been using their lunch hour for skin care for years, and visitors are starting to copy them. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic near Sinnonhyeon Station; I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I consult and treat international patients myself. “Can I do something in an hour and go straight back out?” is a question I get almost daily from people on tight Seoul itineraries. Jin's reel doesn't say what was done, so I won't pretend to know. Instead, this is my honest list of what fits into a lunch break, what it costs, and what I'd never rush.

In her own words
Taking a random person for lunch
A lunch invitation, not a treatment review
Jin's caption is five words: “Taking a random person for lunch.” It's a fun format, and it doesn't name any treatment. So this page isn't a review of what anyone in the video had done.
What the reel does raise is a real question. If you have one free hour in Gangnam, what can a clinic responsibly do in it? I get asked this so often that it's worth answering properly.
My three-part test for a lunch-hour treatment
- 1
Short in the chair
The treatment itself should take well under an hour, leaving time for cleansing, a mask and getting back out the door.
- 2
Nothing to hide afterwards
You should be able to walk back into a meeting or a café without obvious redness, swelling or marks.
- 3
Nothing to manage that evening
No numbing cream wait, no strict aftercare that clashes with dinner plans beyond the usual sunscreen and moisturiser.
Anything that fails one of those three isn't a lunch treatment, however quick it looks on Instagram.
Three options that pass the test
Aqua Peel is the one I think of first. It clears sebum, dead skin and blackheads from the pores with AHA and BHA solutions and a vacuum, then hydrates. It takes 30–40 minutes and there's no flaking afterwards. I've described it as clearing congested, dull skin in one lunch break, and that's still how I'd put it.
LDM uses high-density ultrasound to support skin recovery, and I use it for dehydrated, reactive or red skin. The first-visit option is a 6-minute session in one mode: hydration, acne or redness. There's more detail in my guide to how LDM calms and hydrates skin.
PicoSure Toning is the pick when the concern is uneven tone or pigment. It's a 755 nm picosecond laser, and most people go back to their day straight away; mild redness or fine flaking can appear and settles within a few days. I've explained how PicoSure fades stubborn pigment without downtime separately.
The honest catch: your first visit is longer
A lunch-hour routine works well once we know your skin. The very first time, I want a proper 1:1 consultation before anything is done, and that adds time. If you're planning around a strict hour, book the consultation and treatment for a day when you have a little slack.
What I won't squeeze into a lunch hour
- Injections such as skin boosters: small bumps or bruising can show for a few days, which is fine on a free afternoon but not before a meeting.
- RF microneedling for pores or scars: the session can run 30–60 minutes and the skin needs gentle care afterwards.
- Anything you're having for the first time right before an important event or a flight home.
What a lunch-hour visit costs
Prices are published and identical for Korean and international patients. These are example first-visit menu prices for the three options above, not what anyone in the reel paid. Most people choose one, not all three.
- 1st Aqua Peel 1 session (Extraction not included/Solution 1-2) (First-visit trial)₩39,000≈ $30
- LDM 6min (Choose 1 mode: Hydration/Acne/Redness) (First-visit trial)₩39,000≈ $30
- Pico Sure Toning + 1 Session of Mask (First-visit trial)₩40,000≈ $30
VAT excluded · identical for Korean and international patients · example menu prices for a lunch-hour visit, not what anyone in the reel paid · regular prices: Aqua Peel with LED ₩80,000, PicoSure Toning + mask ₩50,000. Your plan is set at the free consultation.
How to make the hour work
- 1
Message ahead
Message us on WhatsApp with a photo, your concern and the time window you have. We'll tell you whether it fits.
- 2
Arrive bare-faced if you can
It saves cleansing time. If you're wearing makeup, that's fine — we remove it.
- 3
Finding us
A short walk from Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam. English and Chinese interpreters are on site.
- 4
Back out the door
Sunscreen on before you leave. Avoid scrubs and peels for a few days afterwards.
Is this for you?
Who this combination genuinely suits
Signs it may be time
- Your skin looks tired after long flights and late nights
- Blackheads and dullness build up within days of cleansing
- Your cheeks turn red easily and you want something calming
- You're curious about Korean clinic care but short on time
A good fit if
- You have a short window between plans and want something useful done for your skin
- Your skin feels congested, dull or dehydrated rather than needing a big change
- You want to see how a Korean clinic works before committing to a bigger treatment
- You need to look presentable straight afterwards
Not the right first step if: you want a visible change in firmness, scars or deep pigment in one quick visit, or you're booking a first-time treatment an hour before an important event.

“Send me a photo and your free time slot before you come. I'll tell you honestly whether an hour is enough for what you want, or whether it's worth keeping a longer appointment.”
Questions patients ask me about this
Can I get a skin treatment in Seoul during my lunch break?
Yes, some treatments fit into about an hour. Aqua Peel takes 30–40 minutes with no downtime, and LDM and PicoSure Toning allow a same-day return to normal activities. A first visit also includes a consultation, so allow extra time.
How much is a quick facial treatment in Gangnam?
At Delphic Clinic, first-visit prices are ₩39,000 for Aqua Peel, ₩39,000 for a 6-minute LDM session and ₩40,000 for PicoSure Toning with a mask, VAT excluded. International patients pay the same as Korean patients.
Which skin treatments have no downtime?
Aqua Peel has no recovery period, and LDM and PicoSure Toning usually allow a same-day return. Mild redness or fine flaking can occur after toning and settles within a few days.
Do I need a consultation before a lunchtime treatment?
On a first visit, yes. A 1:1 consultation helps match the treatment to your skin, and it's free at Delphic. After that, repeat visits can be much quicker.
What treatments should not be done right before a meeting?
Injectable skin boosters and RF microneedling can leave small bumps, bruising or redness for a few days. It's better to book those when you have time to recover.
