Joy (@blushedbyjoy) captions her video “so THIS is how K-pop idols get that snatched jawline”. Her doctor explains, without endorsing the idol claim, what an on-screen jawline is made of and which non-surgical options actually address each part.

I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I consult and treat our international patients myself. “Can you give me an idol jawline?” is a request I hear several times a week, often from first-time visitors who have just watched a clip like Joy's. Her video is light-hearted, and I'm glad she enjoyed her visit, but I won't pretend a clinic knows how any particular idol got their jaw. What I can do is explain what a sharp jawline on screen is usually made of, which parts non-surgical treatment can change, what that costs here, and when I'd tell you the look you're after isn't one a device can give you.

Is there really a K-pop idol jawline treatment?
People search for a kpop idol jawline treatment as if one procedure explains a look seen on stage. In my clinic, there isn't one. A jawline that reads sharp on camera usually comes from several things at once, and only some of them belong to a clinic.
Joy's caption is playful, and I read it that way. Her hashtags point to Titanium and ONDA lifting, which can refine a jawline for the right face. They can't hand anyone a celebrity's bone structure.
Why an on-screen jaw is a hard target to copy
- Lighting from above and the side carves shadows under the jaw that a bathroom mirror never shows.
- Contour makeup draws a line along the jaw bone and darkens the area beneath it.
- Camera angles, slightly raised chins and lenses all thin the lower face.
- Age, low body fat and inherited bone shape play a larger part than any treatment.
So when you bring me a screenshot, I treat it as a direction, not a blueprint. The useful question is what softens your own jaw.
What is blurring your jawline? Four things I check

Small fat pockets under the chin or along the jaw
A facial fat-dissolving (contour) injection is placed precisely into these areas. Recovery is usually same day.

Broader fullness across the lower cheeks
ONDA uses Coolwaves microwaves to heat the fat layer while keeping the surface cool, with same-day return.

Skin that has started to loosen

Joy's post doesn't give a price, so below are example menu prices from our first-visit menu. Korean and international patients pay the same, with no foreigner surcharge.

Few faces need all three. Many visitors do well with one targeted step, and I would rather start smaller than over-treat a jaw that only needed a little help.
How quickly does a jawline look sharper?
Right after ONDA or Titanium the skin can feel tighter. With ONDA, fat reduction and firming tend to become clearer over several weeks to 2–3 months as collagen renews. Judge the jaw in the same light and angle, not against a music video.
When I'd tell you not to chase this look yet
- You're already slim with a defined jaw and the difference you see is mostly lighting.
- You're still losing weight quickly; I'd wait until it settles.
- Your jaw width is mainly bone, which non-surgical treatment won't change.
- You're pregnant, or have a pacemaker or metal implants in the treatment area.

How do K-pop idols get a sharp jawline?
No clinic can tell you how a specific person was treated. On screen, lighting, contour makeup, camera angles, low body fat and natural bone shape all contribute, and only some of these relate to treatment.
Is there a non-surgical treatment for a sharper jawline?
Yes, for the right cause. Contour injections target small fat pockets, ONDA targets broader fullness, and Titanium firms loosening skin. None of them change bone width.
What does a non-surgical jawline treatment cost in Korea?

Is there downtime after jawline treatments?
