The “K-pop Jawline” in Korea: Joy's Titanium + ONDA Review, and What a Device Can Really Change
Joy (@blushedbyjoy) asked how K-pop idols get a snatched jawline and tried Titanium + ONDA to find out. Here is which part of a jawline a lifting device can actually change.

The phrase “idol jawline” arrives in my inbox almost every week, usually with a screenshot attached. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I consult and treat international patients personally. Joy's reel is fun, and the treatments in it are real, but a jawline is built from several layers and a device only reaches some of them. Here I explain which layers Titanium and ONDA work on, what the pair costs on our menu, and when I'd tell you it won't give you the line you're after.

What a sharp jawline is actually made of
When people point at a defined jaw, they're seeing a few things at once: the bone underneath, the fat sitting along and below the jaw, and how firm the skin is over the top. Muscle bulk at the angle of the jaw plays a part too.
A lifting device can't change bone, and it isn't the tool for muscle. What it can work on is fat and skin. So the first thing I do is look at where the softness along your jaw comes from. If it is mostly fat and slightly loose skin, a device is a reasonable choice.
Titanium for the skin, ONDA for the fat

ONDA — the fullness along and under the jaw
ONDA's Coolwaves microwaves heat the deeper fat layer while keeping the surface cool, and tighten the dermis as they go. This is the part that speaks to a heavy lower face or a soft border under the chin.

Titanium — the skin over the top
Titanium fires 755, 810 and 1064 nm laser light together to warm the dermis. It is about firmness and skin quality, and many patients notice a brighter tone too.

A crisp line needs both the volume underneath and the skin on top to cooperate, which is why I often pair them for a jawline goal.
If the fullness under your jaw is mostly fat in one spot, injections may be the more direct tool. I've written about slimming a jawline with fat-dissolving injections for that situation.
When I'd tell you a device won't get you there
If your jaw looks wide because of the bone or a strong chewing muscle, heating fat and skin won't create the outline you see in idol photos. If the skin has dropped a lot along the jaw, a deeper lifting approach may suit better. And if your face is already lean, there's little fat for ONDA to work on.
It's also worth remembering that idol photos involve lighting, angles and editing. I'd rather set a realistic goal for your face than chase a picture. Reading other people's results critically helps too — I wrote about which titanium lifting reviews are worth trusting.
How the session feels, and the day after
No anaesthetic injections are needed. ONDA feels like a deep warmth with a cool surface; Titanium's sapphire tip cools the skin to around −3°C, so its pulses feel warm rather than sharp. I adjust energy area by area.
Redness or warmth for a day or two after Titanium is normal, and occasionally slight tenderness. Cleansing and makeup are fine the same day; lukewarm water for a few days is kinder to the skin.

Our prices are public, and international patients pay what Korean patients pay. Joy's post doesn't say what energy was used, so this is the menu price for the usual first-visit version of this pairing:

When the jawline changes, if it does
- Right after: a tighter feel, partly from early collagen contraction and partly swelling — not the final result.
- Over weeks to 2–3 months: the line along the jaw tends to look cleaner as tissue remodels.
- Maintenance: many patients repeat sessions over time; how long it lasts varies with age, skin and weight.

Can Titanium and ONDA lifting give me a sharper jawline?
They can help when softness along the jaw comes from fat and slightly loose skin. ONDA works on the deeper fat layer and Titanium on skin firmness. They cannot change bone or a strong jaw muscle.
How much is Titanium + ONDA lifting in Korea?
At Delphic Clinic, Titanium 40kJ is ₩340,000 and ONDA face 40kJ is ₩270,000 at first-visit prices, ₩610,000 together, VAT excluded. International patients pay the same as Korean patients.
Is this how K-pop idols get their jawline?
Lifting devices are popular in Korea, but a jawline also depends on bone structure, muscle, lighting and editing. A consultation can tell you what is realistic for your face.
Is there downtime after Titanium + ONDA lifting?
You can return to daily life the same day. Mild redness or warmth for 1–2 days after Titanium is common, and makeup is fine the same day.
How long until I see a difference in my jawline?
Some tightness is felt right away, but contour changes tend to build over weeks to 2–3 months. Results and how long they last vary from person to person.
