Korean Titanium Lifting Before and After: What the Photos Leave Out

I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam. Patients almost always arrive having studied before-and-after photos, and the question underneath is the same one every time: how long until I look like that?
The photos cannot answer it, because they show two moments with everything in between removed. So here is the in-between — what the first week feels like, when the change actually arrives, and how to tell a real comparison from a well-lit one.
The timeline, week by week
Weeks two to four is where people lose confidence. The redness has gone and nothing looks different, so they conclude it failed. That is the quietest and most important phase.
How to read a before-and-after honestly
What makes a comparison trustworthy
- Same lighting and same direction of light in both photos.
- Same angle and distance — a few degrees changes a jawline.
- Neutral expression in both. A slight smile lifts everything.
- No makeup difference, and ideally the same time of day.
- A stated interval — "3 months post-treatment" rather than just "after".
If those conditions are not met, the photo is not evidence of anything. This is the same reason I am cautious about reviews that rely on images.

What I do during the wait
- 1
Photograph at fixed intervals
Same angle, same light, day 1 and then monthly. This is the only reliable way to see a gradual change.
- 2
Protect from sun
Not because the treatment is fragile, but because pigment changes distract from the result you are trying to assess.
- 3
Avoid heat for a few days
Saunas, jjimjilbang and hot yoga while there is still swelling.
- 4
Do not book anything else in the first month
Stacking treatments makes it impossible to know what worked.

When the answer is "this will not show much"
I say this in the consultation rather than at month three. The most common reason a result underwhelms is that the complaint was volume loss, not laxity. Energy tightens; it does not replace what is gone.
The second most common reason is expecting a surgical outcome. If gently lifting the skin at your temple restores something dramatic and you want that held permanently, we should talk about that honestly rather than sell you a course that will not get there.
Cost is a separate question and I wrote it up on its own, including what actually sets the number.
| Titanium 40KJ | ₩500,000$360 |
| Titanium 60KJ | ₩700,000$510 |
| Titanium 40KJ (First-visit trial) | ₩340,000$250 |
I record energy and shot count by zone, so when you come back we compare the same baseline instead of relying on memory. Local and international patients pay the same price, and English and Chinese interpreters are on site.

Frequently asked questions
When do titanium lifting results actually show?
Around two to three months. The treatment works by prompting collagen to rebuild, and that process takes that long. Any tightness you feel on the day is a temporary tissue response, not the result.
Is there downtime?
Minimal for most people. Redness and a warm feeling usually settle within hours to a day, and mild swelling can last two to three days. You can normally return to work the same day, though I would avoid saunas and hot yoga for a few days.
Why do some before-and-after photos look dramatic?
Lighting, angle, expression and time of day change a face more than most people realise. A genuine comparison uses the same light, the same angle and a neutral expression. If those differ, you are looking at photography rather than a result.
How long does the effect last?
Usually discussed in terms of about a year, varying with age, skin quality and lifestyle. It does not stop ageing; it slows the appearance of one kind of change. When the effect fades you return to your natural trajectory, not to something worse.
What if I see nothing at all after three months?
Then the treatment was probably not matched to your complaint. The most common reason is that the problem was volume loss rather than laxity, which no amount of energy will address. I would rather establish that before you pay than after.
