Why the lower face is often the last to change

How to read a V-face before and after

Almira shared a before-and-after, and I'm glad people can see real faces. I still ask viewers to read any comparison carefully: lighting, camera angle, head tilt and swelling all change how a jawline looks.

• Right after: the face often looks tighter, partly from collagen contraction and partly from mild swelling.
• Over several weeks: as treated fat is cleared and tissue remodels, the contour tends to become clearer.
• Around 2–3 months: the most useful time to compare photos taken in the same light and angle.
• Long term: keeping a stable weight is what helps the new line hold.
