Korean skin boosters are injections that place hydrating or repairing material into the dermis, the layer creams can't reach, and on a short trip the right one is the one whose downtime fits the days you have left in Seoul. The worry visitors bring is practical: will small bumps still show at the airport, and who do you ask once you're home? At Delphic Clinic a doctor performs the injection, same-day treatment is possible, and weekday hours run until 21:00. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, Director · Lead Physician; my background is Korea University Medical Center, and I'm a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine and the Korean Filler Society.
Questions about boosters come up in my consultation room often, and they usually come from people with four or five days in Korea and too many tabs open. This page sorts Korean skin boosters by the three things that matter on a trip: the days between injection and flight, what your skin actually needs, and what happens after you leave.
- SkinVive (hyaluronic acid) is listed as same-day return; Rejuran (polynucleotide) usually needs 1–3 days for bumps and redness to settle.
- One trip usually means one session. The Rejuran line lists a 2–3 week interval, so a series needs a second visit.
- Boosters improve skin quality. They don't lift sagging jowls.
- At Delphic, English and Chinese interpreters are on site, and the clinic connects directly to Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 3.

What a skin booster actually puts into your skin
A skin booster is a small-volume injection spread across the face in many tiny points, placed in the dermis rather than in deeper tissue. What goes in differs: hyaluronic acid holds water, polynucleotide supports repair, and collagen stimulators prompt your skin to build its own support over weeks.
The reason a needle is involved at all is size. Dermatology researchers have long described a 500 Dalton rule: compounds larger than about 500 Da rarely pass through intact skin in useful amounts. Hyaluronic acid and DNA-derived fragments are far larger than that, so a serum with the same name sits mostly on the surface.
The menu also lists the 5th Generation Exosome Exohealer, PDRN Salmon Injection, Aqua Glow Injection, Lily-id M and Radiesse. PN and PDRN are often confused. A 2025 review in Pharmaceutics describes both as DNA-derived, with PN made of longer chains and PDRN of shorter fragments, which changes how they behave in tissue. For a traveler, the practical difference is which product the doctor picks for your skin, and the downtime that comes with it.
How many days do you need between the injection and your flight?
For SkinVive, the menu lists same-day return, so the day before a flight is workable. For Rejuran, plan 1–3 days before anything you want photos at, because small injection bumps and redness usually take that long to settle. The flight itself is rarely the problem. Visible marks are.
Here is how a four-day trip can be laid out so the settling time lands on days you don't need to look camera-ready:
- Day 1, land: if it's a weekday, an evening consultation fits, since the clinic is open until 21:00. Saturday hours are 10:30–17:00, and the clinic is closed on Sundays.
- Day 2: the booster with the longest settling time goes here, for example Rejuran or a one-day package.
- Day 3: sightseeing with sunscreen and a hat. Common aftercare advice is to skip saunas, heavy workouts and alcohol for a day or two.
- Day 4, fly: bumps from day 2 have usually flattened. A SkinVive-only plan could sit on day 3.
If you only have a long weekend, the order matters even more. A booster with 1–3 days of bumps on the last morning means you board with fresh marks and no chance of a check the next day.

It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.
If your dates are already fixed, send them on WhatsApp along with the booster you're curious about.

Is your skin dry, thin, or textured?
Dry, dull skin that tightens after washing usually points to a hyaluronic acid booster such as SkinVive. Thin, tired skin with fine lines leans toward polynucleotide, meaning Rejuran or the PDRN Salmon Injection. Rough texture and enlarged pores often need a booster plus a device, and the menu lists combinations such as Potenza + PDRN and Fraxel + Pore (Juvelook).
What tells these apart at a consultation is visible on the skin itself. Surface dryness shows as flaking and tightness within an hour of washing. Deeper thinning shows as fine, crepey lines over the cheeks or under the eyes that stay when you stop smiling. Texture shows most clearly under side light, where pores and shallow scars cast tiny shadows. Active acne, irritation, or a recent procedure on the same area changes the plan or the timing.
A quick self-check before you message:
- Your skin feels tight within an hour of washing: a hydration-type booster is the usual starting point.
- Makeup settles into fine lines on your cheeks or under your eyes: a repair-type booster such as Rejuran, explained in more depth here, is worth asking about.
- Pores or acne scars catch the light from the side: ask about a booster combined with Potenza or Fraxel, or read how Juvelook works on texture.
- Your main concern is jowls or a softer jawline: boosters aren't the tool. Lifting devices such as Ultherapy Prime, Thermage FLX, ONDA or Titanium address that.
On evidence, a systematic review of polynucleotides in aesthetic medicine reported improvements in skin quality measures such as texture and elasticity, with side effects that were mostly mild and short-lived. The studies are still fairly small, so expect a gradual change in skin quality rather than a dramatic one.
Risks, and who shouldn't book a booster this trip
Common effects are bruising, redness, swelling, tenderness and small bumps at the injection points, which usually fade within days. For hyaluronic acid injectables the rare but serious risk is injection into a blood vessel, which can damage skin or, very rarely, affect vision; the U.S. FDA lists this among filler risks.
Booking a booster on this trip doesn't suit you if:
- you are pregnant or breastfeeding; elective injections are generally postponed;
- you have an active acne flare, cold sore or infection where the needles would go;
- you have a known allergy to lidocaine, or a fish allergy that makes a salmon-derived product a question to raise first;
- you have a wedding, shoot or important event within 48 hours of the injection;
- what bothers you most is sagging, which boosters won't change.
You also don't need to come for a booster if your skin only feels dehydrated from the flight and the dry hotel air. A few days of a plain moisturizer and sunscreen often settles that on its own. Whether you are a candidate is decided at the in-person exam, after the doctor has seen your skin and heard your medical history.
What if something feels off after you fly home?
Normal settling, meaning mild swelling, a few bumps or a small bruise, needs time rather than a doctor. Spreading redness, increasing pain, pale or dusky skin near an injection point, or any change in vision needs local medical care that same day.
Before you leave Seoul, keep a note of what was injected and on which date, and take a photo of your face the evening after treatment. A doctor at home can act much faster with the product name in front of them.
Getting toward Korean glass skin in one visit
One visit can make skin look more hydrated and even. The glassy look people search for usually builds over several sessions. The One-Day Skin Booster Package [3], for example, combines Rejuran Healer, Juvelook Skin, LDM in hydration and soothing mode, and a modeling pack in a single appointment, which suits a traveler with one free day.
If this is your first treatment in Korea and you're still deciding between a booster, a laser or a facial, the first-visit chooser walks through that decision by skin concern. The plan that works on a short trip is usually one booster now, with skin that is calm enough to fly, and a note of what to repeat if you come back.
What to have ready for the consultation
Bring a list of the medicines and supplements you take, any allergies, and the dates of recent procedures such as peels, lasers or fillers. The address is 476 Gangnam-daero, Urban Hive Bldg 2F, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, directly connected to Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 3 on Line 9 and the Shinbundang Line.
Before you book a flight around it, send one daylight photo of your bare face and your travel dates on WhatsApp. The doctor reviews them and tells you whether a booster suits your skin, which one, and which day of your trip it belongs on. When you arrive, the 1:1 consultation runs with English and Chinese interpreters on site, a few steps from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 3.
Frequently asked questions
Is Rejuran a skin booster?
Yes. Rejuran is a skin booster made of polynucleotide (PN) derived from salmon DNA, injected into the dermis to support repair of fine lines, pores and texture. Plan for 1–3 days of small bumps or redness after it.
Which Korean skin booster suits dry skin?
Surface dryness usually responds to a hyaluronic acid booster such as SkinVive, which holds water in the dermis. Dry skin that is also thin, with fine crepey lines, may suit a polynucleotide option such as Rejuran or the PDRN Salmon Injection. The doctor chooses after seeing your skin.
Can I fly the day after a skin booster?
Flying itself is generally fine. The issue is visible marks: SkinVive is listed as same-day return, while Rejuran usually needs 1–3 days for bumps and redness to settle. Put longer-downtime boosters early in your trip.
Do skin booster injections hurt?
Most people describe a series of quick pinches. Tell the doctor if you've reacted to numbing products before.
How long do the effects of one booster session last?
One session gives a visible change in hydration or texture, but boosters are usually planned as a series. The Rejuran line lists a 2–3 week interval between sessions, so one trip typically covers the first session only.

A Korean skin booster injection is not one product. Rejuran, the PDRN salmon injection, Juvelook and exosome boosters do different jobs, so the right one depends on whether your skin lacks water, repair or structure.
