I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director and lead physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, one minute from Sinnonhyeon Station. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, I am a member of the Korean Filler Society and other Korean medical societies, and my daily work is lifting, laser and anti-ageing care. Juvelook Volume is a product I use regularly, and it is often misunderstood.
Patients ask about Juvelook Volume after seeing it on our price list next to the regular Juvelook line. Usually they assume it is simply more Juvelook. It is not, and choosing the wrong one wastes money and time. This post explains what Juvelook Volume is for, how it differs from regular Juvelook and from HA filler, and whose face it suits.
Two products under one name: skin booster and Volume
Juvelook combines a biodegradable PLA with hyaluronic acid to encourage your skin to build its own collagen. The regular version works as a skin booster: it is placed in a fine, even layer to improve texture, pores and overall skin quality.
Juvelook Volume is designed for a different job. Instead of refining skin texture, it is used to add gradual volume where an area has flattened with age. Same family, different goal, different depth.
Where Volume goes, and why the depth is different
Because its purpose is support rather than skin quality, Volume is placed deeper than the skin booster version. I consider it for areas such as the cheeks or temples when the flattening is mild to moderate. It is not something I place superficially, because depth is part of what keeps the result smooth.
The under-eye area is the exception. There, I use Ultracol rather than Juvelook, which is also how our price list is set up. Why that is, and how the 2cc and 4cc lines work, is in my guide to Juvelook cost and what changes the quote.
Gradual volume: what the months after treatment feel like
- 1
First days
Some swelling and small, temporary firmness from the injection fluid. This settles and is not the result.
- 2
First weeks
The area may look much as it did before treatment. This is the stage when people think it failed.
- 3
Following months
Collagen builds gradually, and the area looks softer and fuller in a natural way.
- 4
Review
We look at the change together and decide whether a further session makes sense.

Many disappointed reviews are written in the second stage. I explain why the timing of a Juvelook review matters in my post on Juvelook reviews written too early.
Volume, regular Juvelook or HA filler? A three-way chooser
If you are torn between a collagen stimulator and filler, my guide to Korean PLLA filler explains the trade-off in more depth.
Juvelook Volume rewards patience. If you need the change by next week, I'll point you to something else.— Dr. Hyunji Kim, Delphic Clinic
Faces I would not give Juvelook Volume
- A wedding, shoot or event in the next few weeks that needs a visible change.
- Deep hollows that need structural support rather than gradual softening.
- Mainly skin-quality concerns, where the regular skin booster fits better.
- An active skin infection or inflammation in the area.
- Someone who wants a precise, sculpted shape that can be adjusted on the day.
In those cases I would rather suggest HA filler, the regular skin booster, or simply waiting. Choosing the right tool matters more than using the product you came in asking about.
Reading the Volume line on our price list

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Juvelook Volume and regular Juvelook?
Regular Juvelook is a skin booster placed more superficially to improve skin quality, texture and pores. Juvelook Volume is used for gradual volume, placed deeper in areas that have become hollow or flat.
Is Juvelook Volume the same as filler?
No. Hyaluronic acid filler gives visible volume on the day. Juvelook Volume works by stimulating your own collagen, so the change builds gradually over weeks to months and is softer.
Where is Juvelook Volume used?
I consider it for areas with mild to moderate flattening, such as the cheeks or temples, where a gradual, natural change suits the patient better than an instant one. The under-eye area is a separate case; there I use Ultracol.
How much does Juvelook Volume cost at Delphic?
Juvelook/Ultracol Volume 2cc for one area is on our menu at a first-visit trial price, shown in the price table in this post. Korean and international patients pay the same.
Who should not get Juvelook Volume?
I usually advise against it if you need a clear change before a fixed event soon, if you have deep hollows that need structural support, or if your main concern is skin texture rather than volume.
