I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director and lead physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, one minute from Sinnonhyeon Station. I trained at Korea University Medical Center and I am a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine and the Korean Society for Obesity & Aesthetic Treatment, with my clinical focus on lifting, laser and anti-ageing care. The Onda Korea cost is something people usually ask me before they have even booked a flight, because they are trying to decide whether the trip makes sense at all.
So rather than repeat what Onda is, I want to help you do the arithmetic. This page treats the Onda Korea cost as a trip budget: which numbers on the menu matter, three worked examples you can adapt, and the cases where I would tell you to spend nothing.
Start with one number: face, body, or both
Onda uses microwave energy to heat deep tissue, and it is known for facial slimming and firming. On our menu it is sold for the face or for one body area at a time. Before you think about energy, decide which of those you actually want treated on this trip.
If you are unsure whether your concern is a face problem or a body problem, the overview of who Onda suits is in my Onda lifting first-timer guide. Here I will assume you know roughly where you want to go.
40 kJ or 60 kJ: the line that moves the bill
A kilojoule figure is the total energy delivered during the session. On the face, the step from 40 kJ to 60 kJ is the single biggest change in price. It is also the choice people most often make for the wrong reason, by assuming the bigger number is the better deal.
- 40 kJ tends to suit a smaller or leaner face, or a first try where you want to see how your skin responds.
- 60 kJ tends to suit a fuller lower face or a body area with more tissue to work through.
- Your skin thickness and how much fat sits in the area matter more than your budget when I choose between them.
The calculator: three trip budgets, worked out
These examples use only our menu prices. Flights and hotels are yours to add. Treat them as templates: swap in the line that matches your plan after we have spoken.
If you are adding one body area on the same trip, add that line separately: ₩390,000 for 60 kJ as a first-visit trial or ₩600,000 at the regular price. Whether both trial prices apply in one visit is something we confirm with you before treatment, so the number you see is the number you pay.
| ONDA Lifting (Face) 40kj | ₩400,000$290 |
| ONDA Lifting (Face) 60kj | ₩600,000$430 |
| ONDA Lifting (Body 1 area) 60kj | ₩600,000$430 |
| ONDA Lifting (Face) 40kj (First-visit trial) | ₩270,000$200 |
| Onda Lifting (Face) 60kj (First-visit trial) | ₩390,000$280 |
| Onda Lifting (Body 1 Area) 40kj (First-visit trial) | ₩270,000$200 |
| Onda Lifting (Body 1 Area) 60kj (First-visit trial) | ₩390,000$280 |
First visit versus coming back: why the second bill differs
The trial price is offered once per line, as a first-visit price. If you plan to return to Seoul and repeat Onda, budget the return at the regular price. I would rather you plan for that now than feel surprised on the second trip.
Some patients compare Onda with other energy devices before deciding. If InMode is also on your list, my breakdown of what InMode costs in Korea uses the same per-area logic, which makes the two easier to compare.
The cheapest Onda session is the one you didn't need. I set the energy for the tissue in front of me, not for the price on the menu.— Dr. Hyunji Kim, Delphic Clinic
When I'd tell you to keep the money
- Very thin, hollow faces where losing more volume would make you look tired.
- Heavy sagging where a deeper lifting plan or surgery would serve you better.
- A short trip with an event straight after, if you have never had an energy device and want zero uncertainty that week.
- Expecting weight loss: Onda shapes and firms an area, it does not replace changes in weight.
If you are not sure which side of that line you fall on, my longer Onda treatment guide covers the face and body uses in more detail.
What a quote should list before you pay
Copy this checklist and ask any clinic, including us, to fill it in. If a quote leaves a line blank, ask why.
- Area: face, or which body area?
- Energy: 40 kJ or 60 kJ, and why that amount for me?
- Price type: first-visit trial or regular?
- Who performs the treatment and sets the energy?
- Is the price the same for international patients?
Placing Onda in your Seoul itinerary
- 1
Before you book flights
Send us the area you want treated and your dates. We can tell you which line is likely, so your budget is realistic before you travel.
- 2
Consultation day
A doctor examines the area and confirms the energy. Same-day treatment is often possible.
- 3
The rest of the trip
Most people return to their plans the same day. Changes build over the following weeks, so judge them after you are home.

Verified Google reviews
4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
If you are still deciding whether the Onda trip adds up, send me your numbers. In a free one-to-one consultation I will examine the area, tell you whether 40 or 60 kJ fits, and tell you if Onda is not worth it for you. English and Chinese interpreters are on site, you pay the same price as a Korean patient, and we are one minute from Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Onda Korea cost at Delphic Clinic?
Face Onda is ₩400,000 at 40 kJ and ₩600,000 at 60 kJ, and one body area at 60 kJ is ₩600,000. First-visit trial prices are ₩270,000 for 40 kJ and ₩390,000 for 60 kJ, on the face or one body area. Korean and international patients pay the same.
What does 40 kJ or 60 kJ mean on an Onda price list?
It is the total energy delivered in the session, measured in kilojoules. A larger number means more energy across the treated area. The right amount depends on the area and how much tissue there is, which I decide at consultation.
Is 60 kJ always better value than 40 kJ?
Not for everyone. A smaller or leaner face often needs less energy, and paying for more does not add benefit if the area does not need it. For a fuller lower face or a body area, the larger line is more often the right one.
Will my second Onda session cost the same as the first?
The trial price is a one-time first-visit price for that line. A return visit is usually at the regular price, so budget for that if you plan to come back.
Can I do Onda on the face and a body area on the same trip?
Often, yes. Whether it makes sense depends on your goals and how your skin and tissue look, which we check in the consultation before you commit to either.
