How much does pico laser cost in Korea, and why do quotes differ? The pico laser Korea price depends on a handful of choices you can check before you book. By the end of this post you'll know what sets the cost, which method suits your spots, what the risks are and how to plan it around one trip.
Hello, I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, Director · Lead Physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam. My medical background is Korea University Medical Center, and I'm a member of the Korean Society for Laser Dermatology & Hair.
At Delphic, Korean and international patients pay the same price, so there is no foreigner surcharge to budget for. English and Chinese interpreters are on site, a doctor performs the treatment directly, and same-day treatment is possible.
The short answer is that five things set the price: the mode (toning or fractional), how much skin is treated, how many sessions your spots need, what a package bundles with it, and whether VAT is added. I often hear some version of the pico laser Korea price question in the consultation room. The most common mistake is comparing totals before checking whether they buy the same mode, the same area and the same number of sessions.
A single PicoSure toning session is one line on our menu. A pigment problem usually needs a series.
If you have one trip and a few spots you'd like to look lighter, send one daylight photo of your face without makeup on WhatsApp. Ask which mode those spots need and what that would cost for your case. Daylight shows the spots better than anything you could type.

What is pico toning, and what results can you expect?
Pico lasers fire pulses measured in picoseconds, or trillionths of a second. At that speed the energy breaks pigment into much smaller fragments than older nanosecond lasers do, and your body clears those fragments over the next few weeks. Pico toning uses this at low energy across the whole face. The goal is an even tone and lighter spots built up over several sessions.
After one session, many people see a slightly brighter, more even tone. Some flat freckles and sun spots darken a little and flake off over a few days before they look lighter. Melasma behaves differently. The American Academy of Dermatology's guidance on melasma puts sun protection first and warns that some laser and light treatments can make melasma worse. So with melasma I keep the energy low and plan for a series.
People also search for a "Korean glass skin laser," and that phrase sets the wrong expectation. Toning evens out color. The smooth, reflective look people mean by glass skin also needs work on texture and hydration, and that's a different method.

Pico toning or Pico Fraxel: which method fits your skin?
We have PicoSure, and it does two different jobs. PicoSure toning treats tone and pigment. Pico Fraxel uses a 755nm picosecond laser in a fractional pattern. It's non-ablative: it works in the deeper dermis without removing the skin surface, and it targets acne scars, pores and texture.
If brown spots are what bother you, toning is the method. If it's rolling scars or enlarged pores, it's fractional. Plenty of faces have both. Then I ask which one bothers you more, and we start there on this trip.
In our packages, toning is often paired with GV Laser, a 532nm and 1064nm device with modes for pigment, redness, red acne marks and vessels. Ablative CO2 resurfacing isn't on our menu. For scars, we choose between Pico Fraxel and radiofrequency microneedling.
If you want the longer version, I've written about how PicoSure toning fades pigment and which problems PicoSure and Fraxel each suit.
What decides the pico laser Korea price for your case
I'd rather show you what changes the cost before you ask any clinic for a figure. Use this table as your checklist.
One thing that doesn't change the price is being a foreigner. Korean and international patients pay the same here. Numbing is worth asking about too. Fractional work is more intense than toning, so ask whether topical numbing is part of what you're paying for.
The last factor is your calendar. You can't squeeze a series into one trip, because skin needs weeks between sessions. If you're in Seoul once, you're paying for one session or one one-day package. If you plan to come back, ask what the full series would cost.
Before you message, write down when your spots first appeared and whether they get darker in summer. Add one question: "Toning or fractional, and how many sessions?" Spot history is often what tells freckles apart from melasma.

What reviews get right and wrong about pico laser in Korea
Threads about Gangnam laser clinics keep repeating a few claims. Some hold up medically and some don't.
"No downtime." This is mostly true for toning. Many people are red for a few hours and wear makeup the next day. Pico Fraxel usually means more redness and some roughness for several days, so book it early in your trip.
"One session cleared my spots." That's plausible for a few flat freckles. It's unlikely for melasma, which tends to need a series and can come back with sun exposure.
"The laser made my skin darker." This can happen. DermNet describes postinflammatory hyperpigmentation as darkening after skin inflammation, including inflammation from lasers, and notes that it's more common in darker skin. It usually fades over months with sun protection, and it's the reason careful settings matter more than aggressive ones.
"The price was all-in." Check before you believe it. Ask whether VAT, add-ons and numbing are included before you compare anything.
How many sessions fit into one trip?
Usually one. Say you have freckles across both cheeks and a dull tone, and five days in Seoul: you land on Thursday and fly home on Monday. I'd book the session on Friday, not at the end of the trip. We're open weekdays until 21:00 and Saturdays until 17:00, and closed on Sundays, so a Friday evening slot leaves the daytime for sightseeing.
In that case I'd suggest toning, or a one-day toning package if redness is part of the problem too. I'd also warn you that the freckles may look a little darker and flake over several days before they lighten. If you had acne scars as well, I wouldn't add Pico Fraxel on the same trip just because you happen to be here. One well-chosen session is a better use of a short stay than two rushed ones.
A real series means coming back. Our multi-session pore and scar programs are spaced four weeks apart. We're directly connected to Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station on Line 9 and the Shinbundang Line, which helps if you're fitting a return visit around a work trip.
Who shouldn't book pico laser this trip?
Part of pricing a laser is saying when not to buy it. If a few faint freckles don't bother you, daily sunscreen is enough. If your real concern is sagging, a pico laser won't lift anything. And red post-acne marks often keep fading by themselves over the following months. My concern-by-concern laser map can help you match the problem to the right device first.
Risks and side effects to know
Most reactions are temporary: redness, mild swelling and warmth for a few hours, and often small dark crusts over treated spots that flake off within about a week. Less often you can get postinflammatory darkening, blistering or lighter patches. Rarely, scarring can occur. How likely each of these is varies with skin type and settings.
As general medical guidance, wait or skip it if any of these apply:
- you have a tan or sunburn, or a beach holiday right after the session
- you have active acne, an infection or a cold sore in the area to be treated
- you've taken isotretinoin in recent months
- you're pregnant or breastfeeding
- a mole or spot is new, changing or bleeding (have a dermatologist check it before anyone lasers it)
- you've had keloids, or darkening after past treatments (say so at your consultation)
If a spot darkens, blisters or stays raw after you fly home, stop exfoliating products, use sunscreen and don't pick at it. See a dermatologist near you promptly for blistering or signs of infection, and bring photos from each day. The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery also suggests asking who will operate the laser and what training they have. That's a question worth asking anywhere.

I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.

Frequently asked questions
Do foreigners pay more for pico laser at Delphic?
No. At Delphic, Korean and international patients pay the same price. Our menu prices are listed excluding VAT, so ask whether VAT is included when you get a figure.
Can I fly home the day after pico toning?
For most people, flying the day after toning is fine. Redness usually settles within hours. Wear sunscreen, keep your skin moisturized on the flight, and leave a few more days before flying if you're having Pico Fraxel.
Does pico laser hurt?
Toning usually feels like quick snaps of warmth across the skin. Fractional treatment is more intense. Ask whether topical numbing is used for the mode you're booking.
How long do pico toning results last?
Reduced pigment can come back with sun exposure, and melasma tends to return. Daily sunscreen does more to keep results than any extra session.
Can I combine pico toning with a skin booster on the same day?
Yes. Our one-day packages combine lifting, toning and skin boosters in a single visit. Whether that combination suits your skin is something to settle at your consultation.
