Six steps in one visit sounds like a lot, and the first thing new patients ask me is whether their skin can take it. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I see both Seoul residents and visitors myself. Sunny lives in Korea, so she can come back regularly — which changes how I'd plan her compared with a one-week visitor. Here's what each layer of her package does, what the current menu charges for the core steps, and who should start with less.

In her own words
The biggest privilege of living in Korea 💗 ✨ My treatment package: PicoSure Toning + Genesis Toning + Redness Laser + LDM Soothing Care + Ionto Vitamin Infusion + Modeling Pack 💰 299,000 KRW / ~$200 USD
Why six steps, and why in that order
A package like Sunny's isn't six treatments piled on top of each other. It is two lasers that do the work, followed by steps that calm and feed the skin so it recovers quickly.
- 1
PicoSure toning — pigment
A 755nm picosecond laser breaks melanin into fine particles with ultra-short pulses, while sparing the tissue around it.
- 2
Genesis + redness mode — tone and vessels
Our GV laser has 532nm and 1064nm wavelengths and four modes. Genesis evens tone and texture; the vascular mode targets redness.
- 3
LDM — soothing
Ultrasound in redness or hydration mode to calm the skin after laser heat.
- 4
Ionto vitamin + modeling pack — finish
A gentle current helps vitamin infusion, then a cooling pack seals everything in.
I've written more on how PicoSure toning fades pigment and on using LDM to calm red, reactive skin.
The redness question I ask first
Before adding a redness laser, I check what kind of redness it is. Flushing from small vessels responds to a vascular laser; redness from irritated, over-exfoliated skin needs soothing first. Treating the wrong kind can make the face look worse for a while.
That distinction is explained in my piece on which kind of redness a laser can calm, and it's the main reason two people with the same package can end up with different settings.
The ₩299,000 package vs today's menu
Sunny paid ₩299,000 for the whole package. We publish our prices, and residents and international visitors pay the same. On today's menu, the core laser and soothing steps at first-visit prices are:
- Pico Sure Toning + 1 Session of Mask (First-visit trial)₩40,000≈ $30
- session 1 session of GV Laser (one mode) (First-visit trial)₩89,000≈ $60
- LDM 6min (Choose 1 mode: Hydration/Acne/Redness) (First-visit trial)₩39,000≈ $30
VAT excluded · the same price for Korean and international patients · Sunny's ₩299,000 package also covered a second GV mode and ionto vitamin infusion (₩50,000 on the regular menu) · regular prices: GV laser ₩120,000, PicoSure toning + mask ₩50,000 · final plan at the free consultation.
The GV trial line covers one mode, so Genesis plus a separate redness pass is quoted at the consultation, as is ionto infusion. If you're comparing clinics, my PicoSure cost guide explains what changes the number.
Living in Korea vs visiting: how I'd space it
- PicoSure toning is usually repeated every 1–2 weeks; GV laser every 2–4 weeks. Residents like Sunny can follow that rhythm.
- A visitor with one week usually gets one strong session plus soothing, and a home routine to protect the result.
- Mild redness or fine flaking for a few days is normal; plenty of moisturiser and sunscreen matter more than any serum.
- Avoid retinol, whitening products and peels for a few days after laser.
Booking a toning visit
- 1
Before you come
Message us on WhatsApp with a daylight photo and how often you can return. That decides how strong the first session should be.
- 2
At the clinic
A 1:1 consultation with me, then same-day treatment if we agree. English and Chinese interpreters are on site.
- 3
Location
A short walk from Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station.
- 4
Afterwards
Moisturise, use sunscreen and skip actives for a few days. Message us any time with questions.
Is this for you?
Who this combination genuinely suits
Signs it may be time
- Your cheeks flush easily and stay pink
- Spots and dull patches have built up over the years
- You've tried brightening skincare without much change
- You'd like a regular clinic routine rather than one big treatment
A good fit if
- Your tone looks uneven or dull and makeup no longer evens it out
- You have a mix of pigment and redness
- You live in Korea or visit often enough to repeat sessions
- You want lasers followed by soothing care in the same visit
Not the right first step if: your skin is currently irritated, sunburned or peeling, you're using strong retinoids, or your main concern is melasma that flares easily — that needs a slower, gentler plan.

“Send me a daylight photo before you book. I'll tell you honestly whether you need all six steps or just two.”
Questions patients ask me about this
How much is PicoSure toning in Korea?
At Delphic Clinic, PicoSure toning with a mask is ₩40,000 at the first-visit price and ₩50,000 regular per session (VAT excluded). International patients pay the same prices as Korean patients.
What is Genesis toning?
Genesis is one of the four modes of the GV laser, which uses 532nm and 1064nm wavelengths. It aims at even tone and smoother texture, and is often combined with the vascular mode for redness.
Can you do PicoSure and Genesis on the same day?
Yes, when the skin is calm enough. PicoSure targets pigment and Genesis targets tone and redness, and soothing care such as LDM is added afterwards. The doctor sets the energy for your skin.
Is there downtime after laser toning in Korea?
Most people go back to their day straight away. Mild redness or fine flaking can appear for a few days. Use moisturiser and sunscreen, and avoid retinol and peels briefly.
How often should I do laser toning?
PicoSure toning is usually repeated every 1–2 weeks and GV laser every 2–4 weeks. Visitors with limited time usually do one session and maintain with a home routine.
