I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director and lead physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, one minute from Sinnonhyeon Station. I trained at Korea University Medical Center and I am a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine and the Korean Society for Laser Dermatology & Hair, with my daily work centred on lifting, laser and anti-ageing care. LDM treatment cost in Korea is a question I answer for visitors almost every week, usually while they hold up a screenshot of a menu with several LDM lines on it.
The confusion is understandable. One device, four or five prices, and words like mode, minutes, trial and event next to each one. In this page I explain what actually sets the LDM treatment cost in Korea, how to pick the line that matches your skin, and when I would tell you not to spend on it at all.
Three prices, one machine: decoding an LDM menu line
Every LDM line on a Korean menu packs three pieces of information into one row. The minutes tell you how long the handpiece works on your skin. The mode tells you the purpose, such as hydration, acne, redness, lifting or tightening. The label in brackets, trial or event, tells you which pricing rule applies to you.
- Minutes: 6, 10 or 12 on our menu. Longer sessions belong to the firming modes.
- Mode: one purpose per short session. You choose one of hydration, acne or redness in the 6-minute line.
- Trial: a one-time first-visit price for that line.
- Event: the current promotional price for that line.
Once you read the row this way, comparing clinics becomes simpler. Two quotes are only comparable when the minutes and the mode match. A cheap LDM line with a short calming mode is not a cheaper version of a 12-minute tightening session; it is a different treatment goal.
Match the mode to the skin you actually have
LDM uses high-density ultrasound to support the skin's own regeneration, which is why one device can be set up for calming, hydrating or firming. Use this table as a self-check before you message any clinic. It is a starting point, and I confirm the mode once I see your skin.
If two rows describe you, start with the one that bothers you most day to day. For breakouts, LDM is a calming helper rather than the whole acne plan; I set out what a full clinic session involves in my guide to Korean acne treatment sessions.
Our LDM price list, unedited
These are the LDM lines exactly as they appear on our menu. International patients pay what Korean patients pay, with no surcharge and no separate foreigner list.
| LDM 6min (Choose 1 mode: Hydration/Acne/Redness) (First-visit trial) | ₩39,000$30 |
| LDM 6min (Choose 1 mode: Hydration/Acne/Redness) (Event price) | ₩50,000$40 |
| LDM 10min (Lifting Mode) (Event price) | ₩100,000$70 |
| LDM 12min (Tightening Mode) (Event price) | ₩100,000$70 |
| LDM 10 minutes (Event price) | ₩100,000$70 |
| LDM 12 minutes (Event price) | ₩100,000$70 |
The first-visit trial applies to the 6-minute single-mode line, which makes it a low-risk way to find out how your skin responds. The lifting and tightening lines are the same price as each other, so the choice between them should come from your skin, not from the bill.
When LDM is the cheap add-on, and when it is the main event
In my clinic, LDM plays two different roles. For many visitors it is a short add-on next to a lifting or laser treatment, there to calm and hydrate the skin. For others, especially people with reactive or redness-prone skin, it is the main visit, because their skin needs soothing before anything stronger.
Knowing which role it plays for you changes how you budget. As an add-on, the 6-minute line is usually enough. As the main treatment for firming, the 10 or 12-minute line makes more sense. The broader picture of what LDM does is in my first LDM treatment guide, so I won't repeat it here.
Pay for the mode your skin needs, not the longest line on the menu. Minutes are not a measure of value.— Dr. Hyunji Kim, Delphic Clinic
Where I would not spend your money on LDM
- Clear sagging of the jowls or neck: LDM is gentle, and a lifting device built for depth is a better use of the budget.
- Deep or long-standing pigment: a pigment laser plan is the main purchase, not LDM.
- Acne scars with texture: scars need resurfacing or scar-specific care, not a calming mode.
- Expecting a visible lift from one short session before a wedding: that is not what LDM is for.
If one of these describes you, I will say so in the consultation and suggest where the money works harder. For redness-prone skin specifically, my LDM guide for red, reactive skin explains why I often start there first.
Five lines to paste into a clinic message
Send these to any clinic you are considering, including us. Clear answers mean you can compare like with like.
- Which LDM mode would you use for my main concern, and why?
- How many minutes is that session, and is the price per session?
- Is this a first-visit trial price or the regular event price?
- Who decides the mode and settings on the day: a doctor or someone else?
- Do international patients pay the same price as Korean patients?

I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. Frequently asked questions
What is the LDM treatment cost in Korea at Delphic Clinic?
Our menu lists a 6-minute LDM session in one mode (hydration, acne or redness) at ₩39,000 as a first-visit trial or ₩50,000 at the event price, and 10-minute lifting or 12-minute tightening sessions at ₩100,000. International patients pay the same price as Korean patients.
Why are there different LDM prices for the same machine?
The price follows the mode and the minutes. A short single-mode session for hydration, acne or redness is priced differently from a longer lifting or tightening session, because the goal and the time on the skin are different.
Which LDM mode should I choose?
Choose by your main complaint, not by price. Dry or reactive skin usually starts with the hydration or redness mode, active breakouts with the acne mode, and early loss of firmness with the lifting or tightening mode. I confirm the mode after looking at your skin.
Is LDM worth paying for on its own in Korea?
For calming and hydrating skin on a short trip, it can be a sensible standalone visit because you can return to your day the same day. If your main concern is sagging or deep pigment, LDM alone is usually not where I would put most of your budget.
Can I add LDM to another treatment on the same day?
Often, yes. Many patients use a short LDM session alongside other care during the same visit. Whether it suits your plan depends on what else you are having done, which we decide at the consultation.
