Body Contouring in Korea with ONDA + Fat-Dissolving Injections: Linet's Start, Explained by Her Doctor

Patients rarely say “body contouring” to me; they point. A lower belly, the backs of the arms, the area above the knee that won't change no matter how they train. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam, trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I examine and treat international patients myself. Linet came for exactly this kind of targeted work and described it well herself: ONDA plus a fat-dissolving injection, as the start of a journey rather than a one-off. Start with the pinch: is it fat, skin, or muscle?

Before I talk about devices, I ask patients to pinch the area that bothers them. If you can hold a soft layer between your fingers, that is the fat these treatments are aimed at. If the skin is loose but thin, or the shape comes from muscle or posture, a fat treatment will disappoint.

Linet described her goal as targeted contouring of localized fat, which is the right kind of goal for this pairing. Overall weight loss is a different goal, and neither ONDA nor an injection is a substitute for it.

How ONDA and the injection divide the work

   ONDA covers the area

   ONDA uses Coolwaves microwaves, made by DEKA in Italy. The surface is kept cool while heat acts in the fat layer underneath, so it treats a broad zone evenly, such as the whole lower abdomen.

   The injection targets the pocket

   A body fat-dissolving injection places a mix of fat-dissolving and circulation-supporting ingredients directly into the fat layer. It takes about 10 minutes and suits a stubborn pocket that the device can't reach precisely.

   Why same day

   One visit, one recovery window. For someone who is only in Seoul briefly, that matters as much as the mechanism.

Which body injection? The two on our menu

We offer two body injections in 10cc doses. The Girl Group injection is a steroid-free formula for localized fat, and the Sculpting injection is our premium fat-dissolving formula. I choose between them at the consultation based on the area and how much fat there is.

Linet's caption doesn't say which one she had, so the price below uses the steroid-free option as the typical first choice.

What this visit costs

Prices are public and identical for Korean and international patients. The common first-visit version of Linet's plan looks like this:

Why she called it a journey, and why I agree

• The first days: the treated area can feel warm, tender or slightly swollen. That swelling is not the result.
• The following weeks: change in fat tends to show gradually as the body clears treated cells, so judging after one week is too early.
• Repeat sessions: many patients need more than one session for a visible change in a body area; we plan this from photos rather than in advance.
• Holding it: stable weight and regular activity help whatever change you see last.
