“About 5 kg Slimmer for My Height”: Reading Miicha's Body Analysis in Seoul, and What a Clinic Can Realistically Change
A body analysis told Miicha (@miicha_korea) she should be about 5 kg lighter for her height. Her doctor explains how to read that number, and why clinic body treatments aim at shape, not the scale.

“The analysis says I should lose five kilos. Can you do that?” I hear some version of this every week, usually from someone holding a printout and looking slightly defeated. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I consult and treat international patients myself. Miicha's reel doesn't name a specific product, so this page isn't about one treatment. It's about her starting point, a body analysis and a 5 kg target, and how I explain what a clinic can and can't do with that number.

In her own words
(Partly translated from Persian) According to my body analysis, for my height I should be about 5 kg slimmer — let's see whether these injections work. ✨ I decided to try it under medical supervision and share my honest experience with you 🤍
What “5 kg for my height” actually measures
A body-composition analysis splits your weight into parts: fat mass, muscle mass and water. The “ideal” figure it prints is calculated from height, so two people of the same height get the same target even if one carries more muscle. That is why I never read the kilogram line first.
What I look at is where the difference sits. Five kilos of fat spread evenly over the whole body is a lifestyle and nutrition question. A smaller amount gathered on the belly, flanks or upper arms is a shape question — and shape is where a clinic can actually help.
Why clinic body treatments target shape, not the scale
This is the most honest sentence I can offer anyone with a weight target: the treatments on our body menu are designed for local fat and contour, not for bringing the number on the scale down by several kilos. Many patients see clothes fit differently around a treated area while their weight barely moves.
Miicha's caption mentions an injection but doesn't say which one, and I won't guess. What I can do is show how I'd weigh the options for her kind of goal. I've also written about what fat-dissolving injections tend to look like week by week, because the timeline is where most expectations go wrong.
Three options I weigh when someone brings a body analysis
- 1
A localized fat-dissolving injection
A mix of medications injected into the fat layer of one chosen area. The session takes about 10 minutes and most people go straight back to their day. It suits a small, defined pocket rather than general weight.
- 2
ONDA body
A microwave device that heats the deeper fat layer while the surface stays cool. I consider it when an area is both full and slightly loose, because it also works on firmness.
- 3
Body InMode
A radiofrequency device for body areas, 20–30 minutes. I ask patients to skip alcohol and smoking for a week afterwards, so it needs a little more planning around a trip.
The questions I ask before suggesting anything
- Which area bothers you in photos — and is it the same area the analysis flagged?
- Has your weight been stable for the last few months, or is it still changing?
- Are you also changing how you eat and move? A treatment works on top of that, not instead of it.
- How long are you in Korea? That decides whether a single session or a short series makes sense.
If the honest answer is that general weight loss comes first, I'll say so and suggest coming back when the number has settled. Treating an area that is still shrinking makes it hard to judge what the treatment did. My first-timer notes on Korean fat-dissolving injections go through the same questions in more detail.
Example prices for a body-contour plan
We publish our menu and charge Korean and international patients the same. Because the caption doesn't say what Miicha had, these are example menu prices for the options above, not her bill:
- Body Girl Group Injection 10cc (Steroid-Free Localized Fat Dissolving)₩99,000≈ $70
- Onda Lifting (Body 1 Area) 40kj (First-visit trial)₩270,000≈ $200
Example menu prices for this concern, not what Miicha paid · VAT excluded · same price for Korean and international patients · ONDA body 40kJ regular price ₩400,000 · your plan and area count are set at the free consultation.
Area count drives the total more than anything else, which is why I map the areas before quoting. There's an area-by-area fat-dissolving price map on the blog if you want to estimate before you come.
Realistic expectations, in plain numbers
- Measure the area, not only your weight: a tape measure and the same photo angle tell us more than the scale.
- Give it weeks, not days. Early swelling can make an area look fuller before it looks slimmer.
- Repeat the body analysis after a few weeks if you like — but expect fat mass to move more than total weight.
- Stable habits keep a contour change; a treatment can't hold it on its own.
Planning a body consultation in Seoul
- 1
Before you come
Message us on WhatsApp with the area that bothers you and, if you have one, your body-analysis printout. I'll tell you whether a clinic treatment fits your goal at all.
- 2
On the day
A free 1:1 consultation with me; English and Chinese interpreters are on site. Treatment can be the same day if we agree it makes sense.
- 3
Finding us
We're a short walk from Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam.
- 4
Afterwards
Keep the same photo angle and measuring routine. Message us if anything feels unusual, including after you've flown home.
Is this for you?
Who this combination genuinely suits
Signs it may be time
- Your body analysis shows higher fat mass but normal muscle mass
- One area looks fuller in photos than the rest of you
- Diet and exercise have changed your weight but not that one spot
- You want to know whether a clinic is the right place to start at all
A good fit if
- Your weight is fairly stable but one or two areas stay full no matter what
- You have a body-analysis result and want someone to translate it into realistic goals
- You care more about how clothes fit than about a number on the scale
- You want a short, low-downtime option you can fit around work or travel
Not the right first step if: you're aiming to lose several kilos of overall weight, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or your weight is still changing quickly — in those cases I'd point you to general weight management first and see you afterwards.

“Send me a photo of the area and your analysis printout before you book. I'll tell you honestly whether a clinic treatment fits your goal, or whether you'd be better served elsewhere first.”
Questions patients ask me about this
Can a skin clinic in Korea help me lose 5 kg?
Not directly. Clinic body treatments target local fat and contour in specific areas, so many patients see a shape change while their weight moves very little. Overall weight loss depends mainly on nutrition and activity.
What does a body composition analysis tell you?
It splits your weight into fat mass, muscle mass and water, and estimates a target from your height. The useful part is where the extra fat sits, not the target weight itself, because that decides whether a local treatment makes sense.
How much does a body fat-dissolving injection cost in Seoul?
At Delphic Clinic, a 10cc steroid-free body fat-dissolving injection is ₩99,000 and the premium 10cc option is ₩129,000 (VAT excluded). The number of areas sets the total, and international patients pay the same as Korean patients.
Is ONDA or an injection better for belly fat?
It depends on the area. A small, defined pocket often suits an injection, while an area that is both full and slightly loose may suit ONDA, which also works on firmness. The doctor decides after examining the area.
Is there downtime after body contouring treatments in Korea?
Most people return to their day the same day. Some swelling or tenderness in the treated area is common at first, and after Body InMode we ask you to avoid alcohol and smoking for a week.
