Ultherapy V-Line in Seoul: Jiu Ha's Review, and What to Check Before You Trust a Korean Clinic With It
Jiu Ha (@god_dyu) noticed three things about an Ultherapy V-line visit: the doctor did the consultation and the treatment, there was almost no discomfort afterwards, and foreigners paid the same price. Here's why each of those matters.

Jiu Ha's review reads less like a beauty post and more like a checklist of what to look for in a clinic, which I appreciate. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic next to Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I consult and perform treatments for our international patients myself — the point Jiu Ha noticed. “Will the doctor actually do my Ultherapy, and will I pay the tourist price?” is a worry I hear from overseas patients constantly. This page explains how a V-line Ultherapy plan is built, what recovery is like, what it costs here, and who it doesn't suit.

In her own words
(Translated from Turkish) Once I came here, I understood much better why Korean Ultherapy technology is so popular. Before the procedure they did a detailed examination with a 3D Metaview skin analysis, and we had a one-to-one consultation directly with the doctor. They planned such a meticulous and careful treatment for my face type, and the treatment was performed by the doctor personally, so I was very happy. On top of that, there was almost no discomfort after the procedure, so being able to return to my daily life right away was the biggest relief. The clinic has English interpreter support. One of my favourite things is that pricing is exactly the same for Korean and foreign patients; there are no hidden or different fees, everything is very transparent! 🤍
Why Ultherapy for a V-line
Ultherapy delivers high-intensity focused ultrasound to the SMAS, the same layer a surgeon tightens in a facelift, without damaging the skin surface. That makes it suited to a V-line goal driven by sagging lower cheeks and a drooping jaw rather than by excess fat.
Built-in ultrasound imaging lets me see the layers I'm treating and adjust for each person's skin thickness. That's what Jiu Ha meant by a plan for a specific face type: the same device, set very differently from one face to the next.
Who holds the handpiece matters
In a busy clinic, it's fair to ask who actually performs your treatment. At Delphic, I consult and treat our patients myself. With Ultherapy that matters, because depth, line spacing and shot distribution are judgments made in real time.
- Ask who will perform the treatment, not just who does the consultation.
- Ask to see the cartridge: we use genuine Merz Ulthera cartridges with a hologram sticker you can check.
- Ask how many shots you're paying for, and that you'll receive all of them.
- Ask whether the price you're quoted is the same price Korean patients pay.
I've written a fuller guide on how to check a medical tourism clinic in Korea before booking Ultherapy.
Almost no discomfort afterwards — what to expect
During treatment, most people feel brief warmth or a deep ache as each line is delivered, and we use numbing cream to keep it manageable. Afterwards, Jiu Ha went straight back to daily life, which is typical: light cleansing and makeup are fine the same day.
Results build gradually. Some tightening can be felt early, but collagen regeneration takes 2–3 months, with the clearest change around day 90. I explain this timeline in detail in my Ultherapy recovery and aftercare guide.
Transparent pricing, in numbers
Jiu Ha highlighted that Korean and foreign patients pay the same. That's our policy across the whole menu, and prices are published. The caption doesn't state the shot count, so below is our first-visit option for a full face:
- Ultherapy Prime 300 shots (First-visit trial)₩940,000≈ $680
VAT excluded · the same price for Korean and international patients · regular price FACE Ultherapy Prime 300 shots ₩1,350,000 · this is the menu price for the typical first-visit full-face option, not a statement of the creator's bill; shot count is set at the free consultation.
A smaller area can use 100 shots (₩450,000 regular), and eyes are planned separately. For a full comparison, see my guide to Ultherapy price in Korea.

Is this for you?
Who this combination genuinely suits
Signs it may be time
- Your jawline has softened over the last few years
- You've avoided lifting because you worried about downtime
- You've been quoted a “foreigner price” elsewhere
- You want to know who exactly will treat you before you book
A good fit if
- Sagging lower cheeks or a drooping jaw blur your V-line
- You want lifting without surgery and with same-day return to normal life
- You want the doctor who plans the treatment to perform it
- You value transparent, published pricing
Not the right first step if: your lower face is full mainly from fat rather than sagging, your skin is very thin with little to lift, you're pregnant, or you have an active skin infection in the area.

“Before your trip, send me a photo and tell me what bothers you about your jawline. I'll tell you honestly whether Ultherapy fits, or whether a different treatment would serve you better.”
Questions patients ask me about this
How much is Ultherapy in Korea?
At Delphic Clinic, Ultherapy Prime 300 shots is ₩940,000 at the first-visit price and ₩1,350,000 regularly; 100 shots is ₩450,000, all VAT excluded. International patients pay the same as Korean patients.
Can Ultherapy create a V-line?
It can help when the V-line is blurred by sagging, because it tightens the SMAS layer. If fullness comes from fat, a fat-reducing treatment may suit better, which the doctor assesses at the consultation.
Is there downtime after Ultherapy?
Most people return to daily life the same day, and light cleansing and makeup are fine. Results build over 2–3 months as collagen regenerates.
Does the doctor perform Ultherapy at Delphic Clinic?
Yes. The director personally consults and treats patients, and uses genuine Merz Ulthera cartridges with a hologram sticker you can check.
Do foreigners pay more for Ultherapy in Korea?
Not at Delphic Clinic. Prices are published and identical for Korean and international patients.
