I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, one minute from Sinnonhyeon Station. I trained through Korea University Medical Center and I'm a member of the Korean Society for Laser Dermatology & Hair, the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine and the Korean Filler Society. Pigment and tone are a daily part of my laser work.
Korean skin whitening treatment cost is a question I am asked several times a week, usually as a single number: "how much for whitening?" I cannot answer it that way, because three people asking the same question often want three different things. So in this article I start from your goal and build a budget for each one with our actual menu prices.
Name your goal before you price whitening
What a Korean clinic means by whitening, and why it never means changing your natural shade, I explained in my article on what Korean skin whitening treatment honestly means. Here I take that as read and focus on money.
- Goal A: "I look dull and tired, and I have photos next week."
- Goal B: "I have brown spots and uneven patches I want faded."
- Goal C: "I want my skin to look brighter overall, and I like the idea of a drip."
Pick the line that sounds most like you. Most people are A or B; C usually sits on top of one of them rather than standing alone.
Goal A: a brighter tone for one week of photos
For dullness without real spots, I start with something gentle that does not risk redness before an event. Our vitamin whitening treatment uses a vitamin C ampoule infused with ionto, and a single PicoSure toning session with a mask is also low in downtime.
| Ionto Vitamin Infusion 5min | ₩50,000$40 |
| Vitamin Skincare (Self-cleansing - Vitamin C Ampoule + Ionto Infusion - Mask - Finish) | ₩100,000$70 |
Expect a fresher, more even look for days, not a different skin colour. One visit is a polish, not a cure for pigment.
Goal B: fading brown spots over weeks
Brown spots and uneven patches need a laser course. PicoSure toning targets melanin with picosecond pulses, and most pigment plans involve several sessions spaced apart. This is where most of a sensible whitening budget should go.
| PicoSure Toning (Face) + Mask, 1 Session | ₩50,000$40 |
| PicoSure Toning + Mask, 5 Sessions (Face) | ₩250,000$180 |
| PicoSure (Zoom Pass), 1 Session (Face) | ₩150,000$110 |
| PicoSure Body Toning, 1 Session (Armpits/Knees/Elbows/Heels/Nipples/Ankles - Choose 1 Area, Both Sides) | ₩90,000$70 |
| PicoSure Body Toning, 1 Session (Bikini Line) | ₩100,000$70 |
| Pico Sure Toning + 1 Session of Mask (First-visit trial) | ₩40,000$30 |
If the pigment turns out to be melasma, the plan changes: lower energy, more patience, and sometimes a melasma injection, which is 200,000 KRW for 2cc on our menu. I explain the line-by-line PicoSure maths in my PicoSure Korea cost guide.
Goal C: where glutathione and IV drips fit in the budget
IV drips and glutathione are popular in Seoul, and we offer them. I am honest with patients that the evidence for visible skin brightening from them is limited. If you want one, I see it as an add-on to Goal A or B, never as a replacement.
| Glutathione Injection (Intramuscular) (Event price) | ₩30,000$20 |
| Placenta Injection (Subcutaneous) (Event price) | ₩30,000$20 |
| Premium IV Drips: Women's, Men's, Centrum One-shot, Diet, Brain Function Improvement, Premium Glutathione | ₩250,000$180 |
| Premium IV Therapy (2PACK IV) | ₩200,000$140 |
Why a shot and a drip are priced so differently is covered in my article on Korean glutathione injection price.
Three sample whitening budgets in won
Whitening money should follow the pigment you can actually see. Spend on that first, and treat everything else as optional.— Dr. Hyunji Kim, Delphic Clinic
Whitening spending I would stop you making
- Paying to change your natural skin colour: it is not a realistic or healthy goal, and I will not plan for it.
- Several drips before any spot has been treated: it puts the optional part of the budget ahead of the part that works.
- High-energy laser on suspected melasma to get a quick result: it can make melasma worse.
- Any treatment on a spot that has recently changed shape, colour or size: that needs medical evaluation first.

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.
If you want your whitening budget built around the pigment you actually have, book a free one-to-one consultation. I will look at your skin in good light, tell you which goal you really fall into and what I would not spend on, and treatment can often be done the same day. Frequently asked questions
How much does a Korean skin whitening treatment cost at Delphic?
It depends on the goal. A vitamin ionto infusion is 50,000 KRW, PicoSure Toning with a mask is 50,000 KRW per session, a five-session PicoSure course is 250,000 KRW, and our premium IV drips are 250,000 KRW. A glutathione intramuscular shot is 30,000 KRW at the current event price.
Can a whitening treatment change my natural skin colour?
No, and I would not try. What clinic treatments can do is reduce excess pigment such as sun spots, and improve dullness and unevenness so your own tone looks clearer.
Is glutathione worth including in a whitening budget?
I treat it as an optional extra, not the core of a plan. The evidence for visible brightening from glutathione is limited, so I would put money into treating the pigment you can actually see first.
How many sessions of toning do I need?
It varies with the type and depth of pigment. Many people start with a course of several sessions at intervals. I decide the number after examining your skin.
Do foreigners pay more?
No. At Delphic, international patients pay the same price as Korean patients.
