Potenza Korea Before and After: What Changes at Day 3, Week 4 and Month 3

Pores and acne scars are a large part of my daily work, and many of those patients travel in from abroad.

Potenza Korea before and after photos are usually what bring scar and pore patients to me, and they are also what set the wrong expectation. A photo pair compresses three months into one swipe. On this page I walk through the months in between, so you know what normal looks like at each point.

Day 0 to day 3: the part photos skip

Potenza delivers radiofrequency energy through fine needles into the dermis. Right after, the skin is pink and warm, sometimes with a faint grid pattern. Most people return to normal plans the same day, with redness fading over a day or two.

Please do not take your after photo now. A red, slightly swollen face tells you nothing yet.

Week 2 to week 4: texture before pores

The first thing people usually notice is that make-up sits a little better and the surface feels smoother. Pores and scars themselves are slower, because the change depends on new collagen forming underneath.

Month 2 to month 3: when I judge the result

This is when I compare photos. Same light, same angle, same distance as the before photo, ideally with side lighting, which shows texture far better than a ring light.

Pores versus scars: different expectations

Enlarged pores often respond sooner. Rolling and boxcar acne scars need more patience and usually more than one session. Deep, narrow ice-pick scars may need other methods alongside. I explained the scar side in more depth in my guide to acne scar treatment with Potenza.

A photo routine you can repeat at home

• Stand side-on to a window so light grazes the cheek; texture shows best this way.
• Take front, left and right shots at eye level, no filter, no make-up.
• Mark where you stood, so month three is taken from the same spot.
• Save the before set somewhere you will actually find in three months.

When I would ask you to wait

• Active, inflamed acne or infection in the treatment area.
• Fresh sunburn or a tan from the last few days.
• Pregnancy, or a history of poor wound healing.
• A flight or important photos within the next two days.
