I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director and lead physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, one minute from Sinnonhyeon Station. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, I am a member of the Korean Filler Society and several other Korean medical societies, and my focus is lifting, laser and anti-ageing care. Patients considering Thermage often bring me screenshots of Thermage Korea reviews before we talk about anything else.
The question I hear most weeks is simple: "Thermage Korea reviews are all over the place, so how do I know what I will get?" My reply is that most reviews leave out the three details I care about most. This page shows you how to read them the way I would, and when I would tell you not to book Thermage at all.
The number to look for before the star rating
Thermage FLX is sold by shots, and the shot count decides how much energy your skin receives across an area. Our face treatment is 600 shots, and the eyes have their own lines of 225 and 450 shots. A review that just says "I had Thermage" could describe very different amounts.
So the first thing I look for in any review is the shot count and the area. If a reviewer had a smaller count spread across the whole face, a modest result is not surprising. I explain how these numbers add up in my guide to Thermage cost by shots, area and year.
Genuine tip, real shots: what a reviewer could have checked
Thermage is delivered through a disposable tip with a set number of shots. Patients have every right to see that tip before treatment and to confirm it matches what they paid for. At Delphic we use the genuine device and tips, and we show them to you.
When a review complains about a weak result at a very low price, I cannot tell from the post whether the tip was genuine or the shot count was what it claimed. Neither can you, which is why it is worth checking yourself on the day.
Heat, tightening and the slow months after
Thermage delivers radiofrequency energy deep into the skin to stimulate collagen renewal. Most people feel pulses of heat during treatment and go back to their day afterwards. Some feel a little tighter early, but the firming people pay for builds over the following months.
That is the gap where many disappointed reviews are written. It is also why I ask patients to judge the result months later, at home, against a photo taken before treatment.
Thermage is a patient treatment. If you judge it in the first week, you are judging the heat, not the result.— Dr. Hyunji Kim, Delphic Clinic
A review-to-reality translation table
These are the phrases that come up again and again in Thermage reviews, with what I would want to know before drawing a conclusion.
Reviews describing burns, dents or lasting problems belong in a different category. I explain what is normal and what is not in my article on bad Thermage side effects.
Faces I would rather not give Thermage
- Heavy jowls or deep laxity: Thermage tightens skin, and surgery is the honest comparison for heavy sagging.
- Very thin faces where volume loss is the main issue: firming will not replace lost volume.
- Anyone expecting a facelift-like change from one session: the change is gradual and modest by design.
- People who need a visible result before they fly home: the result builds after you leave.

I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.

Frequently asked questions
Are Thermage Korea reviews trustworthy?
They are useful when they state the shot count, the area and how long after treatment they were written. Without those details, a positive or negative review cannot tell you much about your own likely result.
Why do some reviews say Thermage did nothing?
Thermage tightens through gradual collagen renewal, so the change builds over the following months. Reviews written in the first days or weeks are often too early, and some describe a lower shot count than the area needed.
How can I check that a Korean clinic uses a genuine Thermage tip?
Ask to see the tip before treatment and confirm the shot count on it matches what you paid for. A clinic using genuine tips will show you without hesitation.
Does Thermage hurt?
Most people feel pulses of heat. How intense it feels depends on the area and settings, and the doctor adjusts as the treatment goes on.
How much does Thermage FLX cost at Delphic?
Thermage FLX 600 shots is 2,800,000 KRW on the regular menu, with a first-visit trial price of 1,790,000 KRW. Eye Thermage is offered at 225 and 450 shots, and international patients pay the same as Korean patients.
