I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, Director and Lead Physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul. My background is Korea University Medical Center, and I'm a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine and the Korean Society for Laser Dermatology & Hair. Lifting, laser and anti-aging work is my field.
Land on Monday, treat on Tuesday, fly on Friday. Some version of that plan comes up in my consultation room often, usually as the question "can I fit a titanium lift in Korea into a short trip?" Usually yes, if the session falls early.
A titanium lift is a three-wavelength laser that heats the skin to firm mild looseness and brighten tone; it does not lift heavy sagging the way surgery does. The treatment takes 15–30 minutes and our listed recovery is 1–2 days, so the session should sit at least two days before your flight, on a weekday, because we're closed on Sundays.
Key points before you plan:
- Book the session on a weekday early in your stay, not on your last afternoon.
- Leave 1–2 days between the session and your flight.
- Arrive without a tan or sunburn; laser on sun-damaged skin is a reason to postpone.
- The number of sessions is set after the doctor has seen your skin in person.
- At Delphic the doctor performs the treatment directly, consultation and treatment can happen the same day, and English interpretation is on site.
How many days does a titanium lift in Korea really take?
One weekday for the consultation and session, plus one to two days of buffer before you fly. Same-day treatment is possible at Delphic, so if the exam says your skin is suitable, the laser can follow the consultation on the same visit.
The table below is a planning tool. It compares a four-day trip with a three-day one, and the difference is where the recovery days land.
The four-day version is the one I'd pick. The three-day version works on paper, but it puts a laser session on the evening you arrive, often after a long flight, with no spare day if your skin is still warm and pink when you check out. If you want to know what those recovery days tend to look like in the mirror, what titanium lifting photos usually leave out covers that part.
Three wavelengths in a single pass
Titanium Lifting is a laser that emits three wavelengths at the same time: 755, 810 and 1064 nm. Different wavelengths generally reach different depths in the skin, so one pass heats more than one layer, aiming at tightening and brightening together. A sapphire cooling surface sits on the skin to keep discomfort low.
That design is why it suits short trips. The session is quick, there is no incision, and the listed recovery is short. It also means the heat is real, and heated skin needs a day or two before you expose it to a beach, a ski slope or a long sunny walking tour.
The published evidence is still early. A 2023 preliminary study in Lasers in Medical Science by Jo and colleagues gave 28 female patients five sessions with a combined 755/810/1064 nm laser. Skin biopsies showed increased collagen and elastic fibers in the dermis, and apart from transient pain during treatment no serious adverse effects were reported.
It is a small study about rejuvenation rather than lifting as such, so I read it as an early signal, not as proof. For a first-timer's walk through the treatment itself, see my first-timer guide to titanium lifting.

Which day of the week should you book?
A weekday, early in your stay. Delphic is open Mon–Fri 10:30–21:00 and Sat 10:30–17:00, and closed on Sundays.
A Saturday afternoon session puts your first recovery day on a Sunday. If something about your skin worries you that day, the earliest you can walk back in and show a doctor is Monday morning, which may already be your flight day. A Tuesday or Wednesday session gives you working days on both sides.

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.
The late weekday hours help if you land in the afternoon. They don't help if you arrive with sun on your face. The American Academy of Dermatology's guidance on laser scar treatment states that if you show up with a tan or sunburn, the dermatologist cannot treat you, because the laser could cause a serious burn or discolor the skin. If Seoul is the second stop after a week on a beach in Bali or Okinawa, that order is worth rethinking.

Is one session during a short trip enough?
One session can be a start, but the number is decided at the consultation, after the doctor has seen your skin. The study above used five sessions; a single visit during a holiday is not that protocol.
What decides it is mostly the degree of laxity, where it sits and what you expect. Mild looseness along the jaw with dull texture is a different conversation from deep folds that have been forming for years.
Some travelers also ask about pairing titanium with another device on one day. Delphic does list one-day lifting packages that combine Onda Lifting with Titanium, plus LDM and a modeling pack, and in the room that question tends to arrive with a phone showing a jawline photo taken under hotel lighting. Whether a combination fits is answered by looking at the skin itself, not the photo.

Who titanium lifting doesn't suit, and the risks to weigh
Titanium is the wrong tool if your main concern is heavy, deep sagging, if your skin is currently tanned or sunburned, or if you have an active infection or cold sore in the treatment area. Elective laser work is also usually postponed during pregnancy.
In a consultation, three questions decide it. Does the looseness live in the skin itself, or is deeper tissue descending under it? Has the face or neck had recent sun? Does the skin flush and stay red easily? A laser that heats the skin can soften mild laxity and improve tone. It cannot do what surgery does for marked sagging, and I'd rather say that in the room than after the session.
On risks: transient pain during treatment was the effect the 2023 study reported. Heat-based lasers in general can leave warmth, redness or mild swelling for a short time, and, less often, burns or pigment changes, which is exactly why tanned skin is a reason to wait. Per the AAD, tell your doctor beforehand if you get cold sores and list any medications or supplements you take, since some, such as aspirin and vitamin E, may need to be stopped first. Individual skin varies, and the in-person exam decides suitability.
When you don't need to come at all
- Your only open window is the day of your flight home.
- What bothers you is hollowness or lost volume rather than looseness; a laser is not the tool for that.
- You're happy with your skin and were mainly curious after seeing it online.
Getting from the airport to the clinic
Delphic is directly connected to Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station (Line 9 and the Sinbundang Line), at 476 Gangnam-daero, Urban Hive Bldg 2F. The airport bus and downtown Gangnam connections make it reachable from hotels in the area.
For recovery days, staying near the station helps: if something worries you, you can ask to be seen again on a weekday without crossing the city. Save the address in Korean map apps before you land, since international map apps often show incomplete walking routes in Seoul.
What should you send before booking a flight?
A short message with your dates and one clear photo is enough to start. This checklist covers what helps plan the consultation around your trip:
- Your travel dates, including landing and departure times
- One front and one side photo of the area you want firmer, in daylight, without filters
- Any sun exposure or beach plans before Seoul
- Medications and supplements you take, and whether you get cold sores
- Previous lifting or laser treatments, and roughly when
Send your dates and a photo on WhatsApp so we can plan the 1:1 consultation around your trip. The consultation in Gangnam happens with English interpretation on site, and the clinic is directly connected to Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station. Hours and the full treatment menu are on Delphic Clinic's English homepage.
Frequently asked questions
Does a titanium laser lift hurt?
The device uses a sapphire cooling surface to keep discomfort low. In the 2023 study of a combined 755/810/1064 nm laser, transient pain during treatment was the main reported effect, with no serious adverse effects. How it feels varies by person and by area.
How long does a titanium lifting session take in Seoul?
At Delphic the session takes 15–30 minutes. The listed recovery is 1–2 days, so leave that gap before your flight home.
Can I have the consultation and the treatment on the same day?
Yes, same-day treatment is possible at Delphic. The laser only follows the consultation if the exam shows your skin is suitable, for example no tan, sunburn or active infection in the area.
Do I need to speak Korean?
No. Delphic has English and Chinese interpretation on site for consultations. Bring a list of your medications and previous treatments so nothing gets lost in translation.
Who performs the treatment?
At Delphic the doctor performs treatments directly. The doctor also decides at the consultation whether titanium suits your skin and how many sessions make sense.
