Skin After Weight Loss: Aliaa's ONDA Recommendation, and a Doctor's Honest Limits

What Aliaa actually said, in English

Aliaa wrote to her followers in Arabic. Translated, she said ONDA is one of the things that make the biggest difference to how the skin looks after slimming down, and that she strongly recommends trying it in Korea. In English she added that she had ONDA lifting with fat-dissolving treatment.

Her caption doesn't say which area we treated, so I won't guess. What I can do is explain why the after-weight-loss situation is one where ONDA is often worth considering.

Why skin lags behind weight loss

When fat volume drops, the skin that stretched over it doesn't always shrink back at the same pace. The result can be a softer jawline, slightly loose cheeks, or a less firm belly or arms, even at a healthy weight.

The honest limit: loose skin versus excess skin

ONDA can help skin that is mildly loose. It can't remove a fold of excess skin left after very large weight loss; that needs a surgical opinion. In consultation I'll show you the difference with a simple pinch test and photos.

What to expect, week by week

• Same day: warmth and slight swelling are common; you can return to normal activities.
• First weeks: treated fat is cleared gradually, so change tends to show slowly.
• Around two to three months: tightening in the skin continues to build.
• Keeping it: a stable weight helps; if you're still losing weight, I may suggest waiting.
