“So Chill, Right in the Heart of Gangnam”: Napaphatch's Visit, and What an Unhurried First Appointment Should Feel Like
Napaphatch (@y___suaaa) described Delphic as a new clinic she likes that feels very chill. Her doctor explains what an unhurried first visit looks like step by step, and why it matters.

Many first-time visitors tell me Korean clinics felt like a conveyor belt elsewhere: a quick look, a long menu, and a decision made in ten minutes. I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam. I trained at Korea University Medical Center, and I consult and treat international patients myself. Napaphatch's caption doesn't name a treatment — it describes a feeling: a clinic she likes that is “so chill”. That feeling is something we work at on purpose, so this page walks through what an unhurried first visit looks like, and which gentle options suit a first appointment.

In her own words
(Translated from Thai) A new clinic I really like, and so chill — right in the heart of Gangnam! 🇰🇷
Why a calm first visit matters more than the menu
When patients feel rushed, they agree to things they don't understand and then worry afterwards. A relaxed visit isn't about soft music. It's about having time to ask questions, understand the plan, and say no without feeling awkward.
That's also why I keep first visits simple. A first appointment is the time to learn how your skin behaves, not the time for the strongest device on the menu.
An unhurried first visit, step by step
- 1
Arriving
We're a short walk from Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station, in central Gangnam. Come a few minutes early so you aren't hurrying in.
- 2
Talking first
A free 1:1 consultation with me. English and Chinese interpreters are on site, and I'd rather you ask the same question twice than nod along.
- 3
Seeing the price
You see the price before you agree, and it's the same price Korean patients pay.
- 4
Treatment, if you want it
Same-day treatment is possible, but never required. Plenty of people go away, think, and come back.
If you're nervous about the language side, I've written about how to be understood at a Korean skin clinic, and a broader guide to how I walk first-time foreign patients through a visit.
Gentle options I suggest for a first appointment
- Aqua Peel — AHA/BHA solutions clear sebum and dead skin from pores, then hydrate. About 30–40 minutes, no downtime.
- Hydration care — an aloe hydration ampoule, five minutes of SONO, LED and a mask. A low-irritation option for dry or travel-tired skin.
- Soothing care — the same calm structure with cryo instead of SONO, for skin that's red or reactive after flights.
Napaphatch's post doesn't say what she had, so I'm not describing her treatment here. These are simply the options I tend to suggest when someone's main wish is a comfortable first experience.
What a gentle first visit costs
Our menu is public, and these are example prices for a calm first appointment. The consultation itself is free:
- 1st Aqua Peel 1 session (Extraction not included/Solution 1-2) (First-visit trial)₩39,000≈ $30
- Hydrating Treatment (Self-cleansing - Aloe Hydration Ampoule application - SONO (5min) - LED - Mask - Finish)₩50,000≈ $40
Example menu prices for this concern, not what Napaphatch paid · VAT excluded · same price for Korean and international patients · Aqua Peel is shown at its first-visit price · your plan is set at the free consultation.
Many people choose only one of these. If you'd like help choosing, my first-visit chooser for Korean skin treatments sorts options by concern and downtime.
When a relaxed visit isn't enough
Gentle care is a good start, but it won't change deep acne scars, sagging or stubborn pigment. If one of those is your real reason for coming, tell me at the consultation and we'll plan properly — still unhurried, just with a different goal.
Before you fly, you can message us on WhatsApp with a photo and your dates. I'll tell you whether a gentle first visit is the right start, or whether to set aside more time.
Is this for you?
Who this combination genuinely suits
Signs it may be time
- You've felt rushed or upsold at a clinic before
- You don't speak Korean and worry about misunderstandings
- Your skin is sensitive and you're cautious about strong treatments
- You want a low-commitment way to try a Korean clinic during a trip
A good fit if
- It's your first time at a Korean skin clinic and you want to ease in
- You'd like to understand your skin before committing to anything stronger
- Your skin feels dry, dull or reactive after travelling
- You value a calm, clear consultation as much as the treatment itself
Not the right first step if: your main concern is deep scarring, noticeable sagging or long-standing pigment — gentle care alone won't address those, and we should plan a targeted treatment instead.

“Send me a photo and tell me what's on your mind before you travel. I'll suggest a gentle first step — and if I think you need something more, I'll explain why, without pressure.”
