I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director of Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, a minute from Sinnonhyeon Station. I trained through Korea University Medical Center and I am a member of the Korean Filler Society and the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine, among other societies. Lifting, laser and anti-aging make up my daily work, and the under-eye is the area where I spend the longest looking before I pick up a needle.
Korean under eye filler is one of the most common things foreign patients ask me for by name, often with a screenshot of a soft, smooth under-eye from social media. I hear it several times a week, and in perhaps half of those consultations filler turns out not to be what that person's eyes need. This page explains how I tell the difference between a hollow that filler can help and skin that a booster suits better.
Hollow, dark or crepey: naming what is under your eyes
My overview of Korean filler areas and products covers the whole face. The under-eye deserves its own page because three different problems look alike in a selfie. Try this at home in front of a window, with your head level and then tilted slightly down.
If more than one row describes you, that is normal. The order in which I treat them matters more than doing everything at once.
Where Belotero earns its place under the eye
When there is a true hollow and the skin over it is reasonably thick, filler can soften the shadow. On our menu, the Belotero 1cc option is listed specifically for wrinkles and the under-eye, and that is the one I reach for in this area. I place small amounts carefully, because the skin here is thin and anything too much or too superficial shows.
The goal is to make the shadow less obvious, not to make the area perfectly flat. A completely filled under-eye often looks heavy when you smile. If you have had filler here before and something looks off, I wrote separately about under eye filler migration and what I do about it.

When I choose a booster instead: Ultracol and Eye Rejuran
Many people who ask for under-eye filler actually have thin, tired-looking skin rather than a deep groove. For them I usually suggest a booster. Within our Juvelook and Ultracol line, only Ultracol is used under the eyes; it combines PLA with hyaluronic acid and works through your own collagen renewal rather than instant volume.
Eye Rejuran is the other option I use, built on polynucleotide (PN). Our painless line includes a Rejuran Eye 3cc option, and the recommended interval between sessions is two to three weeks. If you want to know how the eye-specific Rejuran feels and what changes, see my notes on Rejuran I under the eyes.

Filler, booster, or both: the under-eye decision side by side
Some patients do both, but rarely on the same visit. When skin quality and a hollow are both present, I often improve the skin first, because better skin over the area changes how much filler is needed later.
Under the eyes, the right amount is usually less than you came in asking for. A soft shadow ages better than a filled one.— Dr. Hyunji Kim, Delphic Clinic
Eyes I would not fill
- Prominent bags or fat pads that bulge, especially in the morning; filler near them tends to make the area look puffier
- Very thin, almost see-through skin, where filler is likely to show as a bump or a bluish tint
- Dark circles that are mainly colour rather than a groove
- Anyone with ongoing swelling, an infection or irritation around the eyes
- A trip that leaves no time to settle before photos or a flight
Questions to send before anyone injects your tear trough
- Will the doctor examine my under-eye and decide whether filler is right, or is it booked as a fixed menu item?
- Which product would be used under my eyes, and why that one?
- If my problem is skin quality rather than a hollow, what would you suggest instead?
- Who performs the injection?
- If the result looks puffy, do you offer dissolving, and how is that decided?
Copy those into a message before you book anywhere in Seoul. A clinic that answers them clearly is usually a clinic that plans carefully.

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.

Frequently asked questions
What is used for Korean under eye filler at Delphic?
On our menu, the Belotero 1cc option is the one labelled specifically for wrinkles and the under-eye. Which product, how much and whether filler is right at all is decided after the doctor examines your eyes.
Is a skin booster better than filler under the eyes?
It depends on the problem. Filler adds volume to a hollow. A booster such as Ultracol or Eye Rejuran works on thin, crepey skin quality and does not fill a groove. Many people need only one of the two, and some need neither.
Can Juvelook be used under the eyes?
On our menu, only Ultracol is used for the under-eye area within the Juvelook and Ultracol line. Juvelook is used elsewhere on the face.
How long is the recovery for under-eye treatment?
Filler is listed as same-day return, though swelling or a small bruise can appear. Our Rejuran and Ultracol options list about one to three days of downtime. Plan photos and flights with that margin.
What if under-eye filler looks puffy later?
Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, which we offer per area. Puffiness can also come from other causes, so it should be examined before deciding to dissolve or add more.
