Building a Korea Juvelook recovery plan, but unsure what happens if a lump shows up after you've flown home? Read this before you book the return flight. You'll know how many days to leave, what decides the cost, what reviews get right and wrong, and which methods change your calendar, so you can pick a plan that fits your skin, your leave and your budget.
Hello, I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, Director and Lead Physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam. My background is Korea University Medical Center, and I'm a member of the Korean Filler Society.
Our doctors perform treatments themselves, interpreters on site take questions in English or Chinese, and foreigners pay the same price as locals. We're open until 21:00 on weekdays and directly connected to Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station.
I wrote this because trip plans tend to stop at how long the bumps last, and the harder question comes weeks later, when you're home and your dermatologist may never have handled this injectable.
For many people, redness and injection bumps settle within several days and bruises within a week or two. I'd put the session at least two or three days ahead of a long-haul flight and line up a doctor at home before you leave.
If your dates are tight, send a bare-faced photo of the area and your flight dates on WhatsApp, and ask whether that gap fits what you want done.

Two clocks run after a Juvelook session
Juvelook pairs PDLLA, a polylactic-acid collagen stimulator, with hyaluronic acid, and it's placed in the skin through many small injections. That gives you two separate timelines, and a good plan treats them differently.
The first clock is the injury from the needle: redness, swelling, small raised points, sometimes a bruise. It usually runs for days. The second is collagen, which builds gradually over weeks to months, and I go through that mechanism in how Juvelook rebuilds skin from within.
You will almost certainly fly home before the second clock shows you anything. Nothing has failed if your skin looks the same on the plane. You can follow how Juvelook results develop over time from home, in photos taken in the same light.
How many days does a Korea Juvelook recovery plan need?
No medical rule I can point you to sets a number of days between a skin injectable and a flight. The gap is a buffer. It gives bruises time to show and gives you a chance to have a concern looked at while you're still in Seoul.
The clinic's hours shape that buffer. We're open Monday to Friday 10:30 to 21:00 and Saturday 10:30 to 17:00, and closed on Sundays. A Saturday session followed by a Sunday flight leaves no open day between them, so I'd avoid that pairing.
Say you land on a Thursday and fly home the following Wednesday, with thin, crepey cheeks and old acne scars your dermatologist at home doesn't treat with PDLLA. Airport buses stop near Sinnonhyeon Station, and same-day treatment is possible, so a Friday consultation and session could work. That leaves the weekend to settle and open weekdays before you leave. I'd reason the same way for a shorter trip, and I'd drop any add-on before I'd shrink that gap.
A day-by-day sheet for your calendar
In short, this is general medicine for planning. Your own skin, the amount injected and any add-ons can shift it.
Seoul's saunas and jjimjilbang are worth moving to the start of your trip. Heat and shared water are a poor match for skin with fresh needle points.
Which Juvelook methods change the days you need?
Juvelook Skin alone is the lightest plan in days. Our menu also pairs it with other treatments, and each pairing adds something to recover from.
- With Rejuran: Rejuvelook combines Rejuran 3cc and Juvelook Skin 2cc. It's injections only, so plan much as you would for Juvelook alone, with bumps across more points.
- With Potenza or PicoFractional: these add a device session to the same skin. Expect more redness and possibly some texture changes, so I'd give this version the longer gap before flying.
- As a course: our 4-session pore and scar package runs at 4-week intervals, which one trip can't hold. If you can't come back, ask what a single session can realistically do for your skin.
Thin or crepey skin often does better with a booster than with filler, which is why this question comes up so often for people told at home that filler isn't a good idea. Skin that needs lifting is a different problem.
When I'd tell you not to plan this trip
Some goals don't fit Juvelook, and a recovery plan won't fix that. I'd say no to the trip in these situations:
- You have heavy sagging. Juvelook works on skin quality and can't lift it.
- You need a visible change by your flight home, or by a wedding or photoshoot in the following weeks.
- You have a skin infection or an inflamed breakout in the area right now.
- You have no way to see a doctor at home if a lump appears later.
The last one can usually be solved before you book, so solve it first.
What can go wrong after you fly home?
Most of what you'll see is short-lived and expected. What you're planning for is the small chance of a problem that needs an in-person exam, in a country where nobody has your records.
Risks and side effects to know
The FDA lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching among the common effects of injectable dermal fillers, and they're a reasonable guide here. They usually fade over days to a couple of weeks. How long yours last will vary with your skin and the amount injected.
Less often, firm nodules can form, and they can appear after you're home. A 2020 case report in Annals of Dermatology describes a late-onset foreign body reaction after facial injections of poly-L-lactic acid, a related material. Infection and injection into a blood vessel are rare and serious with any facial injectable.
As a general guide, you should postpone or skip this if any of these apply:
- Infection or inflammation at the site
- A recent laser or peel in the same area
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Isotretinoin use, now or recently
- Allergy to an ingredient, or past granulomas or nodules from an injectable
If something appears after you fly, your action depends on the sign. Sudden severe pain, skin turning pale or dusky, or any change in vision needs emergency care the same day, wherever you are. Spreading redness, warmth or fever needs a local doctor promptly, and a firm lump that lasts needs an exam.
The CDC's medical tourism advice is to arrange follow-up with your local provider before you leave and to carry copies of your records. For Juvelook, ask for the product name, the amount and the areas treated in writing, and show that to your doctor at home before the trip so they know what they may be asked to look at.

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.
List any earlier fillers, threads or collagen stimulators in a WhatsApp message, and ask how a recheck would work if something shows up once you're home.

What do Juvelook reviews get right about recovery?
Review threads tend to repeat the same few claims, so here's how they hold up medically. This is about what's commonly posted online, not about any patient of ours.
"The bumps are gone in a few days" is often true, though thin skin can show them for longer. "Nothing happened after a month, so it failed" is too soon to call, and I explain why in why so many Juvelook verdicts are written too early.
"Any lump means a bad injection" is half right. Small raised points in the first days are expected. A firm lump that appears or persists weeks later isn't something to judge from a thread, so have it examined. "You can fly the next day" may be fine for many people, but it leaves you no room if a problem appears.
What decides the cost of your Juvelook trip?
Five things move the figure for your case:
- The product and the amount, in cc, for the area treated
- Juvelook alone or combined with Rejuran, Potenza or PicoFractional
- How many sessions you need, and whether that means a return trip
- Any numbing or comfort option you choose
- The extra nights in Seoul your buffer adds
Foreigners and locals pay the same price here, and our listed prices exclude VAT, so ask whether a figure includes it. You can read about our Juvelook price options and what changes a quote, and the wider menu and location are on Delphic Clinic's English site. To get the figure for your own case, ask on WhatsApp what it would cost, with a photo.
What should you send before you book anything?
One photo of the area and one question is enough for a first message on WhatsApp. A good question is the one this post left open for you, such as whether your return date leaves enough room. When you come, the doctor examines your skin and recommends the plan that fits it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I fly the day after Juvelook?
Many people could, since no medical rule I know of bans it. I'd still leave two or three days before a long-haul flight, so a bruise or a concern can surface while you're still in Seoul.
Will people notice the injection marks while I'm sightseeing?
For the first days they might, because small raised points and redness are common. Many people cover them with makeup once the skin has closed, usually from the next day, but ask at your session what suits your skin.
Can I do Juvelook and go to a jjimjilbang on the same trip?
Go before your session. Heat and shared water are best avoided on freshly injected skin, so put the sauna at the start of your trip.
Should I tell my dermatologist at home that I'm having Juvelook in Korea?
Yes, before you travel if you can. Show them the product name and the areas you plan to treat, and ask whether they'd examine you if a lump or infection appeared. If they won't, find a doctor who will.
Can I ask my questions in English at the clinic?
Yes. We have interpreters on site, and you can ask about treatments and prices in English or Chinese.

Korea Juvelook recovery center? Usually a hotel room will do
Juvelook is an injectable collagen booster, not surgery, so most visitors recover in an ordinary hotel room. The part worth planning is what you do if a small lump appears weeks later, after you're home.

Korea Juvelook recovery fund: save a few days off, not a week
Most people need a few days of leave for Juvelook, not a week. The bumps and pinkness usually fade within days, and the collagen change builds over the following weeks at home.

Korea Juvelook recovery program: how many nights, how many trips
Each Juvelook session usually needs one or two nights in Seoul, because the bumps settle within days. The collagen change takes weeks, though, so plan your trips around the whole series.
