Watched a Korea Rejuran Healer procedure steps video and now you can't stop picturing those rows of little bumps on your own face?
The appointment runs in five parts: a skin check, cleansing, numbing cream, the injections and a soothing step, and the needle part is the shortest of them. The bumps in the clip are the product sitting just under the surface, and they mostly flatten within a day or two; our Rejuran menu lists downtime of about 1–3 days.
Hello, I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, Director and Lead Physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, and a member of the Korean Society for Laser Dermatology & Hair and the Korean Filler Society.
If the clip made you wince, three facts are more useful than reassurance. The injections here are done by a doctor. And consultation and treatment can happen on the same day, which means you hear every step first and decide in the chair, not weeks earlier from a video.
To begin, send one bare-faced photo of your cheeks in daylight on WhatsApp and ask whether Healer is the right Rejuran for your skin at all. The 1:1 consultation is free, and that one photo is enough for a first message.

What happens in the chair, step by step?
Here is each step with what you'll see and feel.
Risks and side effects to know
- The skin check and the product choice. Before any needle, the doctor decides which Rejuran goes where.
- Cleansing. Makeup and sunscreen come off completely, because anything left on the skin can be pushed in by the needle.
- This is the quiet part nobody films.
- The injections. Small amounts go in at many points just under the surface with a fine needle. Each one feels like a quick pinch, then a brief sting as the product goes in, and the forehead and the sides of the nose tend to feel sharper than the cheeks. This is where the raised bumps appear.
- Soothing. A cooling, calming step takes the heat out. In our One-Day Skin Booster packages, Rejuran Healer is paired with LDM in hydration and soothing mode and a modeling pack.
- Walking out. You leave with visible bumps, pinpoint marks and some redness, and most people head back to the hotel or out to dinner the same evening.

What the video doesn't show you
No Korea Rejuran Healer procedure steps video can show the parts that decide your result, because they happen off camera or after the clip ends.
- The decision about depth and amount. How shallow the injections go and how much goes into each area matters more than anything visible on screen, and it's set by your skin's thickness.
- The 20 to 40 minutes of numbing. Cutting it short makes the needle part feel sharper than it needs to.
- Day one and day two. The bumps you saw are usually gone by the next morning or the one after, and a small bruise can appear where a vessel was nicked.
- The interval. Our Rejuran menu recommends 2–3 weeks between sessions, and one session rarely shows the whole effect.
If you've also read reviews saying it hurt more than expected or changed nothing, I've gone through three common complaints about Rejuran and what sits behind each one. Several of them trace back to something that happened off camera.
What is Rejuran Healer actually doing in your skin?
Rejuran Healer is polynucleotide (PN), DNA fragments derived from salmon, placed in the upper layers of the skin. It doesn't add volume and it doesn't lift, so don't expect it to change the shape of your face.
What it targets is skin quality: fine texture, thinness, the slightly crepey look of tired skin and early fine lines. PN is closely related to PDRN, the ingredient in salmon injections, but is made of longer chains; a review in Pharmaceutics compares the two and how each is thought to support repair. The published studies collected in a systematic review of polynucleotides in aesthetic medicine look at outcomes such as texture, elasticity, hydration and fine lines, which matches where I'd expect a change and where I wouldn't.
For the wider picture, including how it fits alongside other boosters, my Rejuran Healer guide covers it.
Whose skin does Healer suit, and when would I pick something else?
Healer tends to suit skin that looks thin, dull or finely crepey, skin that has seen years of sun, and shallow texture left by old breakouts. Here is how I decide when the problem is something else, and when I say no to both.
- Sagging along the jaw is a support problem. A booster won't lift it; that's a question for lifting devices.
- Deep, depressed acne scars usually need a scar-specific plan, with Rejuran S or a different treatment.
- Brown spots and uneven tone are pigment, and PN isn't a pigment treatment.
- Thin skin directly under the eyes gets Rejuran I rather than Healer.
And if your skin is in good shape and the only reason you're considering it is that the video looked satisfying, you don't need it. A confident injector on screen is not a reason to treat healthy skin.
How do the next three days look?
Bumps tonight, flat skin by tomorrow or the day after, and possibly a small bruise or two that fades within the week.
Heat and raised blood pressure make redness and bruising linger, which is why the sauna and the late night out wait until day four.
Because sessions are spaced 2–3 weeks apart, a single trip usually holds one session. Say you're in Seoul for 17 days: a session on day 2 and a second on day 16 fits the interval and still leaves a night for the bumps to settle before the flight. A seven-day trip holds one, ideally early, so your skin is back to normal before you leave.
If you're also weighing what moves the price, the amount, the areas and whether it sits inside a package, I've set out what changes the Rejuran Healer price in Korea. The full list of Rejuran options is on Delphic Clinic's English site.

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.
If you're trying to fit two sessions into one stay, send your arrival and departure dates on WhatsApp with a note of any fish or seafood allergy, and ask which two days would work. The allergy note matters because the product comes from salmon.

Swelling, bruises and the rare reaction: what to watch once you're home
The common, temporary reactions are bumps for a day or so, redness, tenderness and small bruises that can last up to a week. How quickly they go is individual; thinner skin tends to show the bumps a little longer.
It's generally wiser to wait or skip it if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have a known allergy to fish or salmon
- have an active acne flare, infection or cold sore in the area
- had a laser or peel on the same area in the last couple of weeks
- took isotretinoin in recent months, or take a prescribed blood thinner (tell the doctor rather than stopping it)
After you fly home, a lump that is still there after two weeks, warmth, spreading redness, pus or pain that gets worse instead of better needs a doctor in person, and you can send a photo with your treatment date on WhatsApp as well. Hives, swelling of the lips or eyelids, or any trouble breathing is an emergency: go to an emergency department straight away.
When you're ready, send one daylight photo of your bare cheeks and your travel dates on WhatsApp, and ask whether Healer fits your skin on this trip or whether something else would serve you better. The 1:1 consultation is free, foreign patients pay the same price as locals, and the deposit and how you pay are settled after that consultation, so you can raise them in the same chat. The clinic is directly connected to Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station, with a medical interpreter at no extra charge.
In person, the first thing I'd want to see is how thin your skin is over the cheekbones and whether there's sagging underneath, because that decides whether Healer is the whole answer or only part of it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Rejuran Healer sting more than other skin boosters?
Many people find it stings more than hyaluronic acid boosters, and the sting comes from the product going in rather than the needle itself. Areas with bone close beneath, like the forehead, feel sharper than the cheeks, which is why a full numbing time matters.
How many sessions does it take to see a change?
Rejuran is usually given as a series, and one session shows only part of the change. With our recommended 2–3-week interval, a series fits a longer stay or is spread across more than one trip.
I'm allergic to fish. Can I still have it?
A known allergy to fish or salmon is generally a reason not to use a salmon-derived product. Say so before anything is opened, and a booster that doesn't come from salmon can be considered instead.
What's the difference between Rejuran Healer and a PDRN salmon injection?
Both come from salmon DNA. Both are on our menu, and the choice depends on how thin and how reactive your skin is.
Can I have it on the day I land?
Same-day treatment after a consultation is possible here. After a long-haul flight, though, skin is often dehydrated and puffy, so the next day is kinder to it and to you.
