I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, Director and Lead Physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul. My background is Korea University Medical Center, and I'm a member of the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine, the Korean Society for Laser Dermatology & Hair, the Korean Society for Obesity & Aesthetic Treatment and the Korean Filler Society.
Patients from Malaysia often ask me about Rejuran, the aesthetic Korean skin repair injection, in some version of this: "I can already get it near me, so why fly to Korea?" For many people, staying home is the right call. For others a Seoul trip fits better, and the difference comes down to session spacing, what else you want treated, and who is close by if your skin reacts.
- Rejuran in Kuala Lumpur, Penang or Seoul is the same type of polynucleotide product; the plan around it is what differs.
- It usually works as a series of sessions a few weeks apart, so one short trip rarely covers the whole course.
- Staying home is the simpler choice if you want only Rejuran and can attend every session locally.
- At Delphic, foreign patients pay the same price as Korean patients, an English interpreter is on site, and I perform the injections myself.

Is Rejuran in Malaysia the same treatment you'd get in Seoul?
Yes, in substance. Rejuran is a Korean-made injectable built on polynucleotides (PN), DNA fragments purified from salmon, placed in small amounts across the skin to support repair. The product doesn't change at the border. What can change is which line is chosen, how much is used, how it is placed, and how the sessions are spaced.
Malaysian price lists often name four lines side by side, and a quote for one isn't a quote for another:
These are the manufacturer's positions, not a promise of what each line does in your skin, and line names can change, so confirm the current product with whoever treats you. I've written separately about what Rejuran Healer does in the skin.
Rejuran price in Malaysia and Korea: how to read a quote
I don't list a Rejuran price here, because the amount depends on the line, the volume and the number of sessions your skin needs, and at Delphic it is confirmed after the 1:1 consultation. What I can tell you is that our clinic charges foreign patients the same price as Korean patients.
A number next to the word "Rejuran" can't be compared with anything until you know four things: which line goes in the syringe, how many millilitres you receive per session, the price per session, and how many sessions the clinic expects. Ask every clinic, in Malaysia or Seoul, for those four.
Then write each quote down in one line, in the shape a course is usually planned: line × millilitres per session × number of sessions. A face course often reads something like "Healer, 2 ml, three sessions, three to four weeks apart". Once two quotes are written that way, divide the total by the millilitres across the whole course and you have a number you can actually compare. A quote that can't be written in that shape is missing something, so ask before you pay.
Result photos are the other thing people search for. I don't show treatment comparison images on this page or anywhere on our site. Polynucleotide changes are gradual and differ a lot between people, lighting alone alters a picture more than most readers expect, and Korean medical advertising rules restrict such images.
More useful than any photo: a doctor who tells you which part of your skin is likely to change and which isn't, a timeline in weeks, and a simple record you keep for yourself of how your skin feels as the course goes on.
Sessions matter more than the city
Polynucleotides are usually given as a course, not a single shot. A 2024 systematic review of nine studies found that most used three to four sessions, two to four weeks apart (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2024). For someone flying in, that spacing decides almost everything else.
A four-day trip to Seoul gives you one session, and the next is due while you're back at work. Some people start in Seoul and continue with a doctor at home, which works if that doctor is comfortable picking up a course someone else began and you bring the line and volume used. Planning two or three trips around the series only makes sense if Seoul is already on your calendar for work or family.
The same review rated the included studies as low to moderate quality and called for larger trials. A 2026 observational study of a different polynucleotide brand followed 66 patients through up to three sessions and reported no serious adverse events, but had no control group (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2026). So I describe results as gradual changes in texture and hydration over weeks, varying from person to person, never as a set outcome.
Home or Seoul: what actually changes
The product is the same; the trade-offs sit in time, follow-up distance and what you can combine.
I don't compare our prices with Malaysian clinic prices. If a Seoul trip only works because the treatment price looks lower, add the flight and hotel before you decide.

When I'd tell you to stay home
If you want Rejuran and nothing else and can attend every session locally, your local course will be simpler, with the same doctor each time. If you have little leave and expect a visible change after one visit, a single session is a start, not the course.
A few situations call for waiting, wherever you are:
- Skin that is inflamed, broken or infected in the area to be treated. Most doctors, me included, postpone injections until it settles, and that's hard to discover after a flight.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding, or an allergy to fish or salmon-derived products. Raise it with your doctor first; in our practice that conversation comes before any booking.
- A big event within a few days of the session. Bumps and small bruises usually fade, but not on a schedule you control.
Where scarring rather than dullness is the main concern, I often look at Rejuran together with Potenza, the RF microneedling we use for pores and scars, because the two work at different depths. Whether that pairing suits you, and in which order, is decided on your skin at the consultation.
What are the side effects, and where do you want to be if one shows up?
The common effects are local and short-lived: small bumps at the injection points, redness, swelling, itching and occasional bruising. Results and reactions vary between individuals, so where you are when they appear is the real travel question.
In the 2024 review, swelling at the injection site was the most frequently reported effect, and none of the nine studies reported a severe adverse event (Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 2024). Small studies can still miss rarer problems such as infection, a lump that persists or an allergic reaction.
If you're treated in Seoul and fly home within a day or two, any later reaction will be seen by someone in Malaysia. Before you book, know which local doctor you'd call, and keep the treatment details (product line, volume, date) on your phone. Leave at least one quiet evening after the session before anything you'd want photographed, and don't schedule it for the morning of your flight.
How I plan Rejuran for a short Seoul visit
Two things set the plan: what your skin shows in good light, and how many days you have in Seoul.
On the skin side, I check texture across the cheeks, how fine lines behave when the face moves, whether there's active redness or breakouts, and how thin the skin looks under the eyes. If the main concern is laxity rather than texture, a skin booster alone may not be what I'd suggest, and I'll explain why before anything is booked. Then the calendar: when you fly, and whether a doctor at home can continue the course.

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.
Our one-day plans exist for this kind of visitor: lifting, toning and a skin booster in the same visit. I go through each part against your skin and leave out what it doesn't need, so your plan might be two of them, or Rejuran alone. Same-day treatment is possible after the consultation, and the clinic is open until 21:00 on weekdays (Saturdays until 17:00, closed Sundays), which helps if you land in the morning and want the session on your first evening rather than the day you fly.

What should you check before booking Rejuran anywhere?
Ask these at any clinic, in Malaysia or Korea, before you agree to a date.
- Who will inject? Ask for the doctor's name. In Malaysia, aesthetic medical procedures are meant to be performed by registered doctors holding a Letter of Credentialling and Privileging (LCP) from the Ministry of Health, in licensed premises (New Straits Times, 2020).
- Which product line, how many millilitres, how many sessions? Check the spacing against your real calendar.
- Is the price confirmed before or after the consultation, and what does it include?
- What happens if your skin reacts on day three? Know the answer before the needle, especially abroad.
- Can you have the treatment details in writing to show another doctor? Useful if you split a course between two cities.
For Korea, ask for the treating doctor's name and professional memberships and compare them with the doctor profile on the clinic's own site. Before you decide, the three complaints I hear most after Rejuran and my note on how Rejuran is used as a skin booster are each worth five minutes.

Before you buy a ticket
The plan itself is decided at the 1:1 consultation in Seoul, with an English interpreter on site, and the full treatment menu is on the Delphic Clinic English site.
Send your first question on WhatsApp with a daylight photo of your face without makeup and the dates you're considering; if a Malaysian clinic has already quoted you, add the line, millilitres and number of sessions they suggested. The clinic is at 476 Gangnam-daero, Urban Hive Building 2F, directly connected to Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 3 on Line 9 and the Shinbundang Line.
Frequently asked questions
Can I do just one Rejuran session in Seoul and continue in Malaysia?
Often, yes. Polynucleotide treatments are usually given as a course of three to four sessions spaced two to four weeks apart, so splitting between two cities is common. Take the product line, volume and date of your Seoul session to your doctor at home so they can continue without guessing.
What is the difference between Rejuran Healer, Rejuran i, Rejuran S and Rejuran HB?
The manufacturer markets Healer as the general line for skin texture and hydration, i for the under-eye area, S for depressed scars, and HB as a formulation that also contains lidocaine for comfort. These are marketing positions rather than promised effects, so ask any clinic which line and how many millilitres you will receive.
How should I compare Rejuran prices in Malaysia and Korea?
Write each quote as line × millilitres per session × number of sessions, then compare per millilitre and per course. Delphic Clinic doesn't list a Rejuran price online because it depends on those factors; foreign patients pay the same price as Korean patients, and the amount is confirmed after the 1:1 consultation.
How soon after Rejuran can I fly home to Malaysia?
Flying isn't usually restricted by the injection itself, but the small bumps and possible bruising need time to settle and vary from person to person. Plan at least one quiet evening after the session, avoid scheduling it on the morning of your flight, and know which local doctor you would contact if a reaction appears after you return.
How do I first contact Delphic Clinic about Rejuran?
Send your first question on WhatsApp with a daylight photo and your travel dates. The treatment plan itself is decided at the 1:1 consultation in Seoul, where an English interpreter is on site.

Korean Skin Booster Injection for Skin That Hydrating Shots Haven't Fixed
A Korean skin booster injection is not one product. Rejuran, the PDRN salmon injection, Juvelook and exosome boosters do different jobs, so the right one depends on whether your skin lacks water, repair or structure.
