I'm Dr. Hyunji Kim, director and lead physician at Delphic Clinic in Gangnam, one minute from Sinnonhyeon Station. I trained at Korea University Medical Center and I am a member of the Korean Filler Society and the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Surgery & Laser Medicine. My work centres on lifting, laser and anti-ageing care, and I inject both sides of the Korean filler vs Juvederm question, Korean-made filler and Juvederm, every week.
Korean filler vs Juvederm is one of the most common questions overseas patients send before booking. Usually it comes with a worry underneath: is the cheaper Korean product somehow second-rate, or is the famous name just a markup? Here is how I actually see the difference from the treatment chair.
The question behind “Korean or Juvederm?”
When patients ask this, they rarely care about the chemistry. They want to know whether they are trading safety for price, and whether a famous brand will look more natural. Those are fair questions, and the honest answer is that the label explains less of the outcome than people expect.
What I look at first is the area. A lip, a chin and a fine line under the eye need gels that behave differently, and that matters more than which country made the syringe.
Where the real differences sit: gel, area and price
- Gel character: fillers differ in firmness and spread, which decides whether they hold a shape or soften a line.
- Area fit: some products are made for structure, some for fine wrinkles or the under-eye area.
- Track record: Juvederm has a long international history; Korean-made fillers are newer outside Korea.
- Price: Korean-made filler usually costs less, which can matter when a plan needs more than one syringe.
Rejuviel and Juvederm side by side on our menu
Rejuviel at Delphic can be used in the front and side cheeks, nasolabial area, front cheekbones, chin tip, marionette area and lips. Belotero I keep for fine wrinkles and the under-eye area. The full list, including first-visit options, is in the price table further down.

Situations where the brand matters less than the injector
Lips are the clearest example. An overfilled lip looks overfilled in any brand, and a well-planned lip looks natural in either. How I plan that shape is in my guide to Korean lip filler and a soft, natural shape.
Price quotes are where brand names get used most loosely. What a lip filler price should and shouldn't cover is laid out in what the price actually covers for lip filler in Seoul.
When I would not inject either today
- Active infection, a cold sore or inflammation in the area
- Filler from another clinic that has not settled, where I cannot judge what is already there
- Sagging that filler would weigh down rather than support
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- A plan that would need large amounts right before a long flight home
Questions to send before you book filler in Seoul
- Which product will you use in each area, and can I see the box before treatment?
- Is the price per 1cc, and how many cc do you expect I need?
- Will a doctor inject, and who sees me if I have a concern afterwards?
- Do you offer dissolving if the result is uneven, and what does it cost?
- Is the price the same for international patients?

4.7 · 260 Google reviewsI received ONDA lifting and Juvelook Skin treatment at Delpic Clinic. Before the procedure, Dr. K carefully examined my skin condition and explained everything in a kind and easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured. During the treatment, I could really tell that Dr. K was highly skilled, so I felt confident and at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. It’s definitely a clinic I would love to visit again.
I had a really great experience at Delphic Clinic. The staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They explained everything clearly in English and didn’t try to oversell unnecessary treatments, which I really appreciated. The clinic is very clean and modern, and the whole process felt professional and well-organized. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clinic, especially if you’re a foreigner looking for a trustworthy place in Korea.

Frequently asked questions
Is Korean filler as good as Juvederm?
Both are hyaluronic acid fillers, and the result depends more on the area, the amount and the injector than on the country of manufacture. Juvederm has a long international track record; Korean-made fillers such as Rejuviel are widely used in Korea and usually cost less.
What Korean filler does Delphic use?
Our Korean-made option is Rejuviel, a filler made by the company behind Rejuran. We also use Juvederm and Belotero, and I choose between them by area and by what the face needs.
How much is Juvederm vs Korean filler in Korea?
At Delphic, Juvederm is ₩350,000 per 1cc and Rejuviel is ₩270,000 per 1cc, with lower first-visit prices on the menu. International patients pay the same price as Korean patients.
Can Korean filler and Juvederm both be dissolved?
Yes. Both are hyaluronic acid fillers, so a hyaluronidase injection can dissolve them. At Delphic the dissolving injection is ₩100,000 per area.
Should I choose Juvederm because I know the name?
Familiarity is a fair reason, especially if you may need follow-up at home and want a product your local doctor knows. It should not be the only reason, because the right gel for the area matters more.
